2024 Leadership Camp
Registration is open for the Franklin Police Department’s 2024 Leadership Camp. Camp will run from July 15-19 for children entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.

Campers learn about the many aspects of law enforcement and work together to develop leadership skills and responsibility. Officers and kids have an amazing time working and learning together every year and we would like your family to be a part of it.

In the News: DARE camp, crash victim ID'd, Historical Commissions to meet

"Children attending the Franklin DARE summer camp got an unexpected treat on Thursday - a visit from a Massachusetts State Police helicopter. 
The helicopter arrived shortly after noon, touching down at Meadowlark Field as the campers eagerly waited. After the landing, state police troopers Ron Baker and Tim Foley spoke to the campers, answering questions they had about their unit."

"Police have identified the man killed in a Thursday morning crash on Rte. 495 as a 23-year-old Rhode Island resident. 
Zachary R. Lemir, of Warwick, Rhode Island, died as the result of a single-vehicle crash at around 6 a.m. that day, according to the Massachusetts State Police. The incident occurred north of Exit 17 on Rte. 495 northbound. 
According to police, Lemir's 1997 Ford F-150 pickup went off the highway and into the woods."

"The Franklin Historical Commission will host a reception for area historical commissions on Aug. 7. 
Commission members from Wrentham, Norfolk, Medway, Bellingham, Millis, Foxborough, Plainville and Blackstone have been invited to participate in a meet and greet reception at the Franklin Historical Museum, 80 West Central St., Franklin."

DARE Summer Camps announced

The Franklin Police announce the DARE Summer Camps for 2010


Camp Information

Time: 8:00 am — 1:00 pm

Dress: Grey shorts, White T-shirt, and athletic sneakers
Please have your child bring a snack and water bottle each day

Monday: Drop off/pick up at the police station

Tuesday - Friday: Drop off/pick up Meadowlark Field

Friday - Graduation at 12:00 followed by a family cookout.

Each morning we will begin camp with stretching and exercise. We will be outside rain or shine so if it calls for rain you may want to send your child to camp with a change of clothes. Also please remember sun-block.

Camps fill quickly and limited space is available so we ask that you only sign your child up for a week where they will be able to attend every day.

Cost: $150

This donation will be used to fund the DARE camp and activities through out the year.
