Let go of your busy week and gift yourself an hour of yoga on the beach. While surrounded by the vastness of the sky and the sound of water, let stress flow away and clear your mind.
Learn how to regulate breathing and activate a feeling of serenity at the same time as you strengthen and tone your body through gentle yoga asana.
All levels welcome. This class will be held at Beaver Pond.

Franklin's annual Earth Day begins at 9 a.m., rain or shine, at the Beaver Pond Recreation Area, 450 Beaver St.
Teams of volunteers will convene there to sign in before dispersing into neighborhoods with plastic bags for the townwide roadside cleanup. Registration runs from 9 to 11 a.m.
Every person who registers will receive a community service certificate, and the first 200 volunteers get Earth Day T-shirts.
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED FORTOWN-WIDE CLEAN UP AND ENVIRONMENTAL EXHIBITS AT BEAVER POND
Franklin will celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 16th with a roadside clean up, spring plantings, and new environmental activities for all ages with activities based at Beaver Pond.
Earth Day kicks off "rain or shine" at 9:00 a.m. when volunteers start a town-wide roadside clean up of litter and set out plants and flowers. After this winter's snowfall, many of the town's most scenic streets can be quickly restored to an attractive roadside with just a few hours of time. Please bring gloves for each person and rakes.
All volunteers are asked to sign in at Beaver Pond between 9:00am-11:00am, so that the areas most in need of a spring clean up get attention. To nominate a town road which needs a cleanup, please call or email the DPW as soon as possible.
This year, volunteers will be given a trash bags for collecting cans, glass bottles, trash and litter. Volunteers simply leave the bags along the roadside by 12:00 p.m., after which Franklin DPW trucks will pick up the bagged trash.
Last year's clean up brought out about 200 volunteers and the trash picked up filled one 40 yard dumpster. Over one ton of litter was collected.
Community service certificates are issued to youths and adults who need them. Earth Day t-shirts are given to the first 300 volunteers and there will be free pizza and beverages starting at 12:00 p.m. for returning clean up crews.
Volunteers are also needed to help pick up donated goods, help run events at Beaver Pond.
Also on site will be Waste Management recycling demo, environmental booths, and demonstrations. Dean Radio WGAO, will be on site to broadcast live from the event.
Sponsoring groups and businesses this year so far include: Waste Management, Comprehensive Environmental, Inc., CDM, Malcolm-Pirnie, Garelick Farms, Aubuchon Hardware, State Forest Advisory Council, Metcalf Materials, Hillside Nurseries, Domino's Pizza, Bimbo Bakeries, Dunkin Donuts, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Various boys and girls scouts, Hillside Nurseries, Franklin Garden Club, Franklin Citizen's Rail Trail Committee, Green at Dean College, Dean Community Outreach program, Coles Tavern, and Metacomet Land Trust.

The town will temporarily close a section of Beaver Street starting Aug. 25 in order to replace Mine Brook's deteriorating twin culverts, said Town Engineer William Yadisernia.
"It's a big deal," though a relatively inexpensive job, Yadisernia said, noting that diverting the water is no easy task.
Beaver Pond will stay open while the contractor, Aldore Tetreault & Sons Inc., of Medway reconstructs the culverts, he said.
Beaver Street will be closed from West Central Street to Grove Street during that period, but the pond, recreational facilities, and Beaver Street Recycling Center can be accessed through Grove Street, Yadisernia said.
Drivers can access Master Drive from West Central Street, he said.

School days are over and regional swimming spots are opening to let residents cool off.
Despite a tight town budget, the Franklin Recreation Department will aim to break even with outside revenue so that residents do not feel the effects of budget constraints on summer activities.
"Our budget is a little over $400,000," said Recreation Director Ryan Jette. "We charge patrons so we can break even. We try to be a self-supporting entity."
This year, the Recreation Department is sponsoring movie nights at Beaver Pond, during which kids can play soccer or Whiffle Ball for an hour before watching a movie. A 20-by-14-inch movie screen will be set up on the turf. On July 18, "Bee Movie" will be shown, and on Aug. 15, "Shrek 3." Games start at 7 p.m., the movie will start at 8 p.m., and admission is $3.
"Families bring their lawn chairs and eat snacks," Jette said. "We are bringing a great service (to Franklin)."
