LiveARTS is proud to present: Kingsley Chen Sunday, April 6th, at 3:00 PM First Universalist Society in Franklin, 262 Chestnut St. Franklin, MA LiveARTS is delighted to welcome back the emerging young pianist Kinsley Chen for a recital including the music of Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Bartok, and Mozart. Join us SUNDAY, April 6th, at 3:00 PM Twelve-year-old Kingsley Chen was born in Hong Kong and began piano studies at the age of three. From the age of five, Kingsley started winning local, regional, and international competitions. When the family emigrated to the U.S. and settled in Las Vegas, Kingsley was instructed by famed Ukrainian virtuoso Mykola Suk, faculty at University of Nevada. The family then moved to the east coast and since 2020 Kingsley has been studying with Prof. Victor Rosenbaum and, most recently, with Victor Cayres at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School. Recent performances include recitals at NEC Jordan Hall along with college students of the conservatory, a feature in a video recital for the "Young Virtuoso Series" of the World Piano Teachers Association, a recital at the 13th SONORO PIANOFEST at Miami Dade College and a recital at Steinway & Sons in Miami, as well as a  concerto performance with a chamber orchestra conducted by Mr. Rosenbaum in a benefit Concert for Ukraine and Yemen. Kingsley's dream is to bring beautiful music to the world, and he believes that music is a dialogue of the soul.  "Chen emerged with the tune impressing us with unassuming natural musicality." An invitation to Nicholas Kitchen in recital at the Chaminade Shubert Club Dear Friends of LiveARTS, We would like to extend an invitation to you to join us for a concert presented by our sister organization, the Chaminade Schubert Club of Attleboro. This concert will be a spectacular recital by the celebrated violinist Nicholas Kitchen, featuring selections from the six Sonatas and Partitas for solo violin, by J.S. Bach. The concert will be Sunday, March 16th, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Murray Unitarian Universalist Church, 505 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA 02703. Murray Church is handicap accessible, with adjacent parking available. This concert is free, though donations are appreciated. Boston Symphony Member Rachel Childers In concert at LiveARTS Sunday, February 16, at 3:00 PM First Universalist Society in Franklin, 262 Chestnut St. Franklin, MA Rachel Childers, in concert at LiveARTS You won't want to miss this fantastic concert! Boston Symphony horn player Rachel Childers and pianist Ann Sears, will present a uniquely lyrical program of music for horn and piano on SUNDAY, February 16th, at 3:00 PM. Program to include music by  Ludwig van Beethoven, William Grant Still, Olivier Messiaen, J.M. Damase, Erika Raum, & Harry T. Burleigh. Rachel Childers joined the Boston Symphony Orchestra as second horn at the start of the 2011-12 season, becoming the first female member of the BSO brass section in its history. Childers received both her bachelor's and master's degrees in music from University of Michigan, followed by an artist diploma from the Colburn School in Los Angeles. She is on the faculty at the Longy School of Music of Bard College, and the New England Conservatory of Music, where she is chair of Winds, Brass, and Percussion Chamber Music. Childers also develops and performs programs for the BSO's "Concerts for Very Young People" at local libraries and children's museums. During summers, she teaches at the Interlochen Center for the Arts, the Tanglewood Music Center, and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute.
