Reminder: Dean College commencement - street closures

Franklin, MA – Dean College will be holding its Commencement exercises today - Saturday, May 8, 2010 on Grant Field.

As a result,  the section of Main Street between School and Emmons Street will be closed to traffic from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. (during the procession to and from the Campus Center).

In addition, School Street will be closed (School to Hillside) from 10:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Public Safety officers will be standing by at the intersection of School and Main, Garfield, Martin Ave. and Hillside to ensure emergency vehicles will have access at all times.

Dean College: Commencement - street closures

 Franklin, MA – Dean College will be holding its Commencement exercises on Saturday, May 8, 2010 on Grant Field.

Populatic Street Closed

PUBLIC NOTICE


POPULATIC STREET FROM WALKER ROAD IN MEDWAY TO BRANDYWINE ROAD IN FRANKLIN WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL OCTOBER 9, 2009.  THE ROAD CLOSURE IS NECESSARY TO CORRECT A SAFETY ISSUE.

POPULATIC STREET WILL BE OPEN TO LOCAL TRAFFIC FROM WALKER ROAD IN MEDWAY TO 10 POPULATIC STREET IN FRANKLIN AND FROM BRANDYWINE ROAD IN FRANKLIN TO 50 POPULATIC STREET IN FRANKLIN.

EMERGENCY VEHICLES, SCHOOL BUSES AND TRASH HAULERS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SAFELY PASS THROUGH THE SECTION OF ROAD BETWEEN 10 AND 50 POPULATIC STREET IN FRANKLIN AND SHOULD SEEK ALTERNATE ROUTES.

MBTA-Forge Pkwy Bridge Closure


Hello. This is the Franklin Police Department calling with an important message from Deputy Chief Semerjian. We want to advise the citizens and businesses in town of a significant traffic pattern change. Effective tomorrow, December 2 2008, the old wooden bridge on W Central Street, near the MBTA station, will close permanently.

Traffic to the MBTA lower lot and residences up to the bridge will flow as usual.

Traffic northbound of the bridge, including Garelick Farms and the MBTA upper lot, will be accessed using the Route 140 Bypass Bridge.
