Dedham, MA - The Eleventh Annual Marine Corp Reserve Toys for Tots Drive at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds was a great success, according to Register Bill O'Donnell. "Every year many people come by, and are so generous in their giving. This year we had a great bunch of gifts ranging from sports equipment to puzzle and games to art supplies."
Register O'Donnell noted that during the past 11 years, approximately 1,650 toys have been collected by the Registry thanks to the generosity of Registry employees, county advisory board members, title examiners and the general public "I would like to thank everyone for making the event such a wonderful success. Additionally, we are truly honored to partner with the Marine Corps Reserve in their Annual Toys for Tots drive which help makes the holiday brighter for more than 7 million children each year," said Register O'Donnell.
On hand to deliver the toys to Master Sergeant Jim Hughes of Norwood were Register Bill O'Donnell and Treasurer Jim Timilty.

MyFM's Stuff-a-Bus - Dec 2-3

On Saturday, December 2nd at 6 AM right through Sunday, December 3rd at 12 PM, MyFM Media will be setting up camp outside of Target on Fortune Boulevard in Milford for their first annual Stuff-a-Bus event collecting toys for Toys For Tots.

"Folks are invited to visit us on location, right outside of Target with an unwrapped toy donation for Toys For Tots", explains MyFM's "Mr. Everything" Ray Auger. "The idea is to fill a Vendetti Bus in that 30-hour period. It's a aggressive goal but I know the kind of people we are working with in this community and I know it can be done."

The idea came to Auger from past Stuff-a-Bus events he was involved with working on radio station on Cape Cod and Portsmouth, NH. Target was quick to agree to help with the location and Vendetti Bus, a good friend of MyFM, was happy to lend them the bus. In case of exceeding their goal, the MyFM and Asphalt Engineering Station Wagon will also be on hand for additional storage of toys.

"We are very excited to add this event to our myriad of community outreach programs at MyFM Media," says MyFM Media President Tom McAuliffe. "Our local community supports us in so many wonderful ways, so giving back like this is never a question."

Can't make it to the event or want to give a little more? "We are offering a fun incentive for anyone who would like to donate $200 to the Stuff-a-Bus efforts", Auger adds. "We will broadcast a Facebook Live Shopping Spree in your honor to thank you for your generous donation. Anyone interested should contact me at your convenience."

If you would like more information about MyFM's Stuff-a-Bus, please contact Ray Auger at 617-851-7542 or www.myfm1013.com.

Norfolk County Register of Deeds William P. O'Donnell Announces Toys for Tots Drive

Dedham, MA - Believing that the true spirit of the holidays is based on giving, Norfolk County Register of Deeds William P. O'Donnell announced today that the Registry will be sponsoring its 11th Annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive.
Register O'Donnell noted, "Every holiday season, the Registry witnesses firsthand the many acts of kindness and Christmas spirit as numerous people drop off gifts for the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive. It's truly wonderful to see so many people drop off gifts from Registry employees to title examiners to attorneys and from the general public. I fondly remember one year a local mother brought in her young children who wanted to drop off toys," noted Register O'Donnell.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of Toys for Tots. The program was established in 1947 when the wife of a Marine major wanted to donate a Raggedy Ann doll for Christmas, but couldn't find an organization to take it. "Since that time $49 million in gifts have been donated," noted the Register.
The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program's mission is to help less fortunate children experience the joy and happiness associated with Christmas. The program operates in 800 cities and towns throughout all 50 states.
Donations of new toys and games for toddlers and children up to age ten can be brought directly to the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds building located at 649 High St. in Dedham from Monday, November 20, 2017 until Noon, on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. A marked donation bin will be set-up in the lobby which is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am until 4:30pm.
Register O'Donnell concluded "We all have the power to make a child's Christmas something special, and therefore giving to the Toys for Tots drive just might make it the best Christmas present you gave yourself this holiday season."

Register O'Donnell Promotes Annual Toys for Tots Drive

The great American Charlie Brown cartoonist Charles Schultz once said, "Christmas is doing a little something extra for someone." With that in mind, Norfolk County Register of Deeds William P. O'Donnell today announced that the Registry will once again be sponsoring its annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive.

"The Registry of Deeds is again delighted to partner with a charity like the Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots program," said O'Donnell. The Register added, "Since 1947, when the program was established, because a wife of a Marine officer couldn't find an organization to take a Raggedy Ann doll, approximately a half billion gifts have been donated."

Donations of new and unwrapped games and toys can be bought to the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds, 649 High Street, Dedham starting Monday, November 23rd through noon Wednesday, December 16th. A marked donation bin will be set up in the Registry lobby Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM for donations.

Register O'Donnell concluded, "The success of the drive is the direct result of the Yuletide efforts of charitable citizens in Norfolk County and across America who take a moment of their time to remember those less fortunate. By dropping off gifts at the Toys for Tots sites, the joys of the holiday season can be created for so many."

Norfolk County Registry of Deeds Announces Annual Toys for Tots Drive

Stating that one of the special gifts of Christmas is about bringing joy and happiness to others, Norfolk County Register of Deeds William P. O'Donnell announced today that the Registry of Deeds will be sponsoring its eighth annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive for needy children.

"The Registry of Deeds is always honored to partner with a longstanding charity like the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive," said Register O'Donnell. Register O'Donnell noted, "Much of the success for the drive deservedly goes to those altruistic people who drop off presents at Toys for Tots sites. Today, approximately 16 million gifts are annually donated to more than 13 million deserving boys and girls throughout every state in the nation."

To this end, donations of new and unwrapped toys and games for toddlers and children up to 10 years of age can be brought directly to the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds Building located at 649 High Street in Dedham starting Monday, November 24th through noon Wednesday, December 18th.
