Bubbles & Bark - Dec 2 - 2 to 5 PM - A Fundraiser for Forever Home Rescue

Bubbles and Bark!
Saturday, December 2 2-5 PM
Tickets $10 at Door

It's true. Pour Richard's is going to the dogs- the dogs of Forever Home Rescue, that is.... It's time for our absolutely Favorite Fun Event-of-the Year, the ever-fabulous Bubbles & Bark, which brings together all of our favorite things in one rollicking, three ring circus fun fest. Do you like wine? Spirits? Delicious hot dogs? Real live furry dogs? All of the above? Then you should be here Saturday....

All our favorite people will be here. Scotch Master Charlie Tower, aka Old Man Whisk(e)y, aka the guy in the kilt will be pouring Lost Distillery Scotch. The one and only Sheri Carl is bringing Black Bubbles Sparkling Shiraz. On the sweeter side, Rich Ricci has Moscato and Brachetto. Coole Swan needs no introduction. Maura Connolly from Mad River Distillers will bring delicious Vermont spirits, including the second edition of Hopscotch. Morgan Mason has some delicious bubbly AND the killer Goldschmidt Yoeman Cabernet. John Grange, the classiest guy in Champagne, will pour Laurent Perrier (swoon!). Patrick Flaherty has a lip-smackingly gorgeous Moss Roxx Zin. And it wouldn't be Bubbles & Bark without the antics of Kenny Mastrangelo, plus Baby Blue and his adorable pooch Mason. And there's still more...

Tunes from Kai Olsson. Tara Esposito's Touchstone Crystal. The lovely Lisa and Teresa and best hot dogs EVER of Snappy Dogs. Raffles (really, really great raffles!).

And dogs. There will be plenty of dogs. (Bring yours, if he or she is well-behaved, leash trained, and comfortable with crowds.) Dogs to pet, but also dogs that need your help. Forever Home Rescue has rescued and re-homed literally thousands of dogs. We throw this event every year to help them help dogs. Your $10 donation is a 100% pass-through to FHR. We will also donate a percentage of our sales.

So come on- help us go to the dogs!

Thank you for trusting us with your beverage business. Please share this email with friends who are interested in delicious wine, beer, and spirits. (Keeping all the good stuff for yourself is bad karma.)

Cheers!
Ann Williams

Circle of Friends Coffeehouse: Winterbloom Holiday Show - Dec 9
WINTERBLOOM
Dec 9 - 8 PM $25
Add some joy to the holiday season with the wonderful music of Winterbloom.  This female supergroup performs at the Circle of Friends Coffeehouse Holiday Show on Saturday, December 9th, at 8PM.  Winter is a time for gathering – and sometimes it's even more fun to gather with friends than family!  It's in this spirit that a new holiday tradition has emerged – a tradition of friendship and music.  Every few years four successful, internationally touring singer-songwriters Antje Duvekot, Anne Heaton, Meg Hutchinson and Natalia Zukerman will tour as "Winterbloom" with diverse reflections and experiences to share for the holidays.

It started with one magical show in December 2008 that led these four women to record and tour together.  Since then they reunite in the dark days of winter to bring the gift of gorgeous melody to us all.  This holiday season Winterbloom returns to the Circle of Friends Coffeehouse for one of only two northeast concerts.

Join Winterbloom this holiday season for an evening of warmth, friendship, sarcasm and surprises. This is a wonderful treat for the entire family.

The Circle of Friends Coffeehouse is a non-profit organization affiliated with Franklin's First Universalist Society. Concerts are presented in a smoke free and alcohol free environment at the Society's handicapped accessible Meetinghouse, 262 Chestnut St. in Franklin, and begin at 8:00 PM; doors open at 7:30 PM. Beverages and gourmet desserts will be available. Tickets for this shows are $25.  Please call (508)528-2541 or visit http://www.circlefolk.org/ to purchase tickets or for more information.

Live reporting: Snow-Ice presentation

H. Presentations/Discussions
H. Presentations/Discussions - Snow and Ice Presentation - Brutus Cantoreggi
assisted by Carlos Rebello

approx $30,000 to do the entire town, vs. $8,000 on the 5 truck route

$45/reimbursement for mailboxes, there is not a contest or lottery to hit boxes

some good contractors, can not get enough, it is not money, they just are not wanting to do plowing
the one man plow on the small pickup is okay, the heavier equipment is where the shortage is

we have $950,000 in the snow/ice budget his year, are using a five year average
which is also why we keep free cash in the spring to use where necessary

need to do a balancing act to keep the salt use a minimum and avoid the sand use

detail contract for the snow plow contractors, specifics and follow up

Cottage Court - Town no longer to plow, it took 19 months for a decision and no we need to maintain it with short notice; the trucks, fire trucks, trash trucks all use it, all we are asking for is to plow the Court; ten tax payer residents on Cottage Court

spot in front of Bamboo House apparently is not a public way and yet it is plowed

M Heard - 8 Cottage Court - we all bought our homes down there knowing the town would take care of the road

Set up a neighborhood meeting together some info and hear all sides
