FHS field hockey tops Durfee, moves on to play again Saturday

Field Hockey = D1 South = #13 Franklin, 9 vs. #20 Durfee, 2 – Final
– Franklin’s offense was nearly unstoppable in the first half, scoring seven goals in a big win over visiting Durfee in the playoff opener for both sides. Amanda Lewandowski scored four goals all in the first half as Franklin raced out to a 5-0 lead in the first 22 minutes.
Ashley Reutlinger added two assists in a goal in the first half while Victoria Quinn finished with two goals, Cassi Ronan had two assists, Sara Carney had one helper, and Regan Paterson and Olivia Rondeau each scored once for the Panthers.
Franklin advances to play #3 Notre Dame Academy in Hingham on Saturday at 4:00.

Franklin Art Association: Demo Artist Change for Nov 7 - Michele Poirier-Mozzone
Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control the scheduled artist for November's demo will be unable to join us. Luckily Michele Poirier-Mozzone is joining us instead!
Ms. Poirier-Mozzone is a pastel artist whose work explores cloudscapes, portraits and underwater scenes for inspiration. Michele's work has been recognized by the International Association of Pastel Societies and has received numerous awards at local juried art shows.
Michele is an instructor in pastel for Rhode Island School of Design's Continuing Education Program and a member of the Providence Art Club, the Connecticut Pastel Society, the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod, the Pastel Society of America and the International Association of Pastel Societies.

The Franklin Art Association will meet on Wednesday, Nov 7, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Franklin Senior Center, 10 Daniel McCahill Street.
Refreshments and socialization will begin at 6:30.
