Franklin DPW: Water Treatment Facilities Update!

"Water Treatment Facilities Update! Yes that's facilities with an S! While we continue to have issues with the existing treatment facility, the new treatment facility construction is underway! Keep an eye out for more updates at this project moves forward!

As for our existing treatment facility, we have good news and bad... again... all of the fire damaged equipment has been replaced or repaired, the new filters are installed, but when we tried to start up again, we hit yet another road block!

We had some issues with the ozone monitoring and destruct units. We create ozone to oxidize the iron and manganese, but we need to get it out or "destruct" it before it gets to the filters or it will damage them, so we are shut down again! Now, we are hoping to be up and running shortly after the new year!"

Phone: 508-520-4945

Friday, January 10th 9:00 – 11:00 am
Doors open at 8:30 am for networking!

Facilitator: Edward Lawrence; Career Coach
Co-facilitator: Erin Rogers; Social Services Coordinator

Guest Speaker: Janice Heller, who offers solution-based career development guidance as well as insightful, results-oriented work and life coaching to people in the greater Boston area and across the U.S. – via phone, video conferencing, and personal meetings. She has a passion for making a difference by helping others achieve their goals! Her website is https://janicehellercareercoach.com/

We start by addressing the issue of values. What are they and why do they matter during the job-search? You’ll learn how values shape your areas of long-term interest and satisfaction. They define what’s really important to you in your next role. Only after you know your values is it worth identifying your marketable and transferable core competencies. Next we will guide you through a self-assessment process to help you define your behavioral preferences and personality type. Knowing yourself--your values and preferences--will help you determine realistic career goals in terms of job options, industries, compensation and other key job search parameters.

This is your first step in mastering the 21st century job-search in the world of Millennials.

Pre-Registration (once per town location) is required: www.mcoaonline.com/50plusregistration

For additional information about this program, please contact Erin Rogers; Social Services Coordinator, Franklin Senior Center; erogers@franklinma.gov; (508) 520-4945.
