FHS girls tennis team tops Durfee in first playoff round on Tuesday

Girls Tennis = Division 1 = #41 Durfee, 0 @ #24 Franklin, 5 – Final 

– Franklin flexed its muscles in its playoff opener, rolling past Durfee by taking all five matches in straight sets. In singles action, Gabby Cura (6-3, 6-1), Chloe Essam (6-4, 6-3), and Brooke Taylor (6-0, 6-3) took care of business for the Panthers. The team of Brooke Daniels and Sydney Tolonen earned a 6-3, 6-2 victory at first doubles, and Ava Davies teamed with Avalon Thomes to secure a 6-4, 6-4 win at second doubles. #24 Franklin will travel to play #9 Belmont on a date and time to be announced.
