"The schedule this year gave the Hockomock League’s top volleyball teams a chance to start the season with a bang — and they delivered.Moments after Attleboro knocked off Canton in a five-set thriller a couple towns over, Oliver Ames came through with a thrilling 3-2 win over Franklin, giving the Tigers their first win over the Panthers since 2019.After falling behind a set to start off, Oliver Ames won two in a row to take the lead. Franklin answered with a win in the fourth to set up a fifth where the Tigers prevailed to win the match 18-25, 25-17, 25-20, 19-25, 15-10."

Field Hockey = Franklin, 6 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – Final
– Holding a 2-0 lead at halftime, Franklin scored twice in each the third and fourth quarters to pull away for a 6-0 win in Easton over Oliver Ames. Raena Crandall converted an assist from Haley Wernig in the first quarter to stake an early advantage while a goal from Addi Weiss (from Ella Marzullo) in the second quarter doubled the lead for Franklin. Haley Wernig tacked on an unassisted goal followed by Maddie O’Brien’s first career goal (from Marzullo) to make it 4-0. Weiss (from Marzullo) and Crandall scored goals in the fourth quarter to finish off the win. Devon Barry (four saves) and Chloe Strassner (two saves) combined for the shutout in net.
