Baseball = Franklin, 0 @ Taunton, 4 – Final
- Taunton senior Johnny Escobalez had his second straight terrific start, this time tossing a complete game shutout to lead the Tigers to a 4-0 win over Franklin. Escobalez allowed just three hits (all singles) and one walk while striking out six in the win. Escobalez then helped his own cause at the plate with a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the third to plate Cam Dorr (2-for-2, double) for the first run of the game, and Jeremy Knief came home to score after an error after he stole third. The Tigers padded their lead with two more in the sixth as Caden Lindskog (leadoff single) scored when Corbin Melo reached on an infield error, and Jace Galante scored on an RBI single from Dylan Keenan. Zach Winer had one of Franklin’s three hits and also pitched well, allowing two runs on three hits and four walks, striking out a pair in five innings.
Softball = Taunton, 11 @ Franklin, 3 – Final
– After Franklin cut the deficit in half with a three-run third inning, Taunton responded with three runs of its own in the top of the fourth and tacked on two more in the fifth to pull away for an 11-3 win on the road. Sophomores Aniyah Bailey (three RBI, two runs) and Jay Gagnon each had two hits for the Tigers, senior Cate Larson had a double and drove in a pair of runs, and sophomore Bella Bourque added a hit, an RBI, a walk, and two runs scored. Senior Taylor DaCosta also clubbed a double and junior Victoria Corrao had a triple and scored two runs. Larson collected the win in the circle after striking out nine in seven innings, scattering six hits and one walk for three runs (two earned). Ella Weston, Brooke Gatewood, Sophia Sacramone, Amelia Rakitin, and Marley Allen each had a hit for the Panthers and both Addi Weiss and Ciara O’Brien drove in a run.

Boys Tennis = Taunton, 0 @ Franklin, 5 – Final
– Franklin’s three senior singles players combined to lose just two games across three matches as the Panthers rolled to a win over Taunton. Danny Reis (first singles, 6-2, 6-0), Aaron Ramaswamy (second singles, 6-0, 6-0), and Gabe Terry (6-0, 6-0) all earned convincing victories for the Panthers. The all-freshmen first doubles team of Deklan Morin and Anish Bokil didn’t drop a game (6-0, 6-0), and senior Charlie Souza and junior Max Sebell only lost two in a 6-2, 6-0 second doubles victory.
Girls Tennis = Franklin, 4 @ Taunton, 1 – Final
– Franklin earned two wins from both singles and doubles action and returned home from Taunton with a solid 4-1 win over the Tigers. Freshman Anna Powers had a strong showing at second singles with a 6-2, 6-1 win and junior Avalon Thomes secured a 6-4, 6-0 third singles victory for the Panthers. In doubles action, seniors Brooke Daniels and Sydney Tolonen continued to roll with a 6-2, 6-2 win at first doubles. Freshman Genevieve Camire teamed up with senior Ashmita Boopathy for a hard-fought 7-5, 6-1 win at second doubles. Taunton sophomore Ava Olivadesa earned an impressive 6-4, 6-3 win at first singles.
