Baseball = Franklin, 17 @ King Philip, 6 – Final
By Tim Crowley || HockomockSports Contributor
"The Franklin Panthers certainly didn’t forget about their trio of losses to the King Philip Warriors last season.

The Warriors downed the Panthers three times in last spring — all by one run each. The final clash came in the MIAA state tournament when the Warriors earned a 2-1 walk-off win to eliminate their rivals. The first installment of the rivalry in 2026 had a much different tune as a major addition to the lineup helped the Panthers roll to a 17-6 victory Monday afternoon.

Freshman Ethan Edmunds knew plenty about Franklin’s heartwrenching end to the previous season. His impact around town is already on full display. He earned the starting nod as the varsity quarterback in the fall. Fast forward to Monday in his high school baseball debut, Edmunds left the yard twice — including a grand slam — to headline an explosive day at the dish for the Panthers."
