A lot of important things happened 247 years ago including the discovery of Molybdenum and oxygen, the birth of Abe Lincoln’s father, and, of course, the establishment of the Town of Franklin. Join the Franklin Historical Museum to celebrate our town’s “birth date” when it was officially incorporated as a municipal entity on March 2, 1778!
