DelCarte Ponds to Be Treated July 30; Water-Use Restrictions in Effect

"The Franklin Conservation Department would like to inform residents that Upper and Lower DelCarte Ponds will undergo aquatic vegetation treatment on Thursday, July 30, 2026, to help control nuisance aquatic vegetation.

For the day of the treatment, the following activities are restricted:

• Drinking or cooking with pond water
• Boating
• Fishing
• Swimming
• Watering livestock
• Irrigation

All restrictions will be lifted on Friday, July 31, 2026, and the ponds will reopen for normal public use."
