"Great reframe for any day that you feel a bit out of the right headspace, is to focus on the "Circle of Control."

If you can't control it, you don't need to spend energy on it.

Shift up your perspective, and take on the right things."

Peter Mulvey at Circle of Friends Coffeehouse Jan 11, 2025

Peter Mulvey is an incredibly gifted songwriter and singer, an extremely entertaining storyteller, and a guitar wizard. He is returning to The Circle of Friends Coffeehouse stage in Franklin on Saturday, January 11th at 7:30PM. He has developed a strong national following in the indie folk/rock scene through his relentless touring and critically acclaimed albums.

Peter Mulvey at Circle of Friends Coffeehouse Jan 11, 2025
Peter Mulvey at Circle of Friends
Twenty-odd years on the road, performing songs from his own catalog and from a vast, varied, and deep well of classic and obscure covers has prepared Mulvey to deliver an outstanding concert. Night after night, the process of divining the heart of a song, being alert to where the moment can lead, has shaped him as an artist. To each rendition, he brings the soul of a singer, a light touch in a heavy world.  http://www.petermulvey.com/

Jenna Nicholls will be Peter's special guest. In a tapestry of sound, Jenna Nicholls weaves a spell as her melodies carry the weight of memory and the promise of tomorrow. With three albums under her belt, her songs have found their way into the heart of cinema and the pulse of television.

From the storied stages of Carnegie Hall and the Beacon Theatre, Jenna's music echoes through the night, a testament to the enduring power of song.

Heather Pierson Trio scheduled to perform at The Circle of Friends Coffeehouse, Dec 7 - 7:30 PM

Heather Pierson Trio

Heather Pierson Trio

December 7, 2024
7:30 PM - $20

A Charlie Brown Christmas

Heather Pierson is a New Hampshire based singer/songwriter, pianist, song leader, and performer with a passion for cultivating joy, both onstage and off. Her sixteenth studio album, Back To The Light, was recorded 'live on the floor' in Portland, ME with trio mates Shawn Nadeau on bass and Craig Bryan on drums. This collection of Heather's originals pulsates throughout with the grooves of New Orleans, the beauty of Appalachia, and Sunday-go-to-meeting celebration. Best known for her ease at the piano and her bell-tone voice that Americana Highways says 'sounds like timeless wind moving slowly through the trees', Heather's live performances with the trio take listeners' ears and hearts on an uplifting journey with their conversational style of musicianship, speaking the language of music with ease and wit.

In their annual December offering, The Heather Pierson Trio performs the entirety of the 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' album as recorded by the Vince Guaraldi Trio, as well as other Guaraldi compositions and holiday favorites. The musical score for 'A Charlie Brown Christmas', composed by the late Vince Guaraldi and first broadcast in December of 1965, is just as poignant and touching as the story and includes the hugely popular hit 'Linus and Lucy'. Guaraldi's gentle jazz riffs established musical trademarks that, to this day, still prompt smiles of recognition.
