50th Annual Franklin Newcomers and Friends Craft Fair will be the final one - Nov 8, 2025

The 50th Annual Franklin Newcomers and Friends Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 9-3 at Tri-County High School in Franklin. This years’ application and contract are attached.
This will be our 50th and final year.

Guidelines:
- Our Craft Fair is for hand made items only.
- We do not accept MLM companies, resellers, or sales representatives.
- Payment is due with the application and must be by check. We will not cash it unless we accept you.
- Please review the materials carefully and be sure to include all required information on your application, including your email address.
- Photographs are required to be printed and mailed with your application and should follow the guidelines set forth on the application and contract. Photographs do not need to be on photo paper, they can be printed on regular copy paper, or you can include a brochure if you have one and it meets all our requirements.
- You only need to provide a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like your photos returned to you.
- If you are a food vendor, we will also need a copy of your certificate from the Franklin Board of Health.
- The deadline for applications is July 10. All applications postmarked by that date will be reviewed and juried, any application received after the deadline may not be able to be accepted, regardless of the quality of your offerings, as some categories will be full.
Please note:
Do not respond to any messages with any individuals, if anyone is contacting you and asking for online payment they are a scammer. We will only communicate via our official email or through this page, and we only accept checks for payment with a mailed application to our PO Box.
- You may not send a representative on your behalf. Crafters are permitted to sell their own creations only. The person(s) listed on the application/signed the contract should be the person(s) attending the Craft Fair.
- Past acceptance does not guarantee acceptance for this year, please be sure your application is complete with all information and photographs as indicated on the application.
- We will notify you by email in August if you have been accepted. - - If you have not been accepted, we will mail a letter with your check enclosed.

Franklin Newcomers & Friends donate $10,000 to several area non-profits

Franklin Newcomers & Friends has donated $10,000 to local charities with proceeds from our 49th annual Craft Fair at Tri-County last fall. All of the organizations mentioned received donations; amounts were determined based on membership ranked voting.

Club members nominated the following charities:

Reminder: Newcomers Craft Fair scheduled for Saturday, Nov 9 at Tri-County

The 49th annual Craft Fair is set for Saturday, November 9 at Tri-County High School in Franklin.

The event runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We are again back in our original location in the lobby, hallways and cafeteria. Tri-County High School is located at 147 Pond Street.

This popular and well-established juried craft fair features hand-crafted items from artists throughout New England. You’ll find a great selection of items for your home, for gift-giving, specialty foods, and more.

The entry fee is $3 for people 12 years of age and older. The funds raised allow us to give back generously to the local community. We were able to donate $6,000 from funds raised at last year's Craft Fair to 10 different organizations. In addition, we also accept donations for the Franklin Food Pantry at the entrance to the Craft Fair.

If any High School students in our surrounding area are in need of community service hours, reach out to us for information. We need volunteers to assist crafters before and after the craft fair with the set up and take down of their booths. Email us at franklincraftfair@gmail.com.

We’re excited to announce that our 49th annual Craft Fair is set for Saturday, November 9 at Tri-County High School in Franklin.

Invitation to Crafters to Participate at the Franklin Newcomers and Friends Craft Fair

The Franklin Newcomers and Friends Club is accepting applications for booth space at their 49th Annual Craft Fair, Saturday, November 9, 2024, 9 AM to 3 PM at Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School in Franklin

This is a juried craft fair for artisan crafters to sell their hand made items; we do not accept MLM companies or other resellers. The deadline for applications is July 15th.

Next Newcomers & Friends meeting features Hellen & Giguere - April 3 - Not just for Newcomers . . .

Join us at our next bi-monthly gathering on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

Please join us as we host Franklin’s Town Administrator Jamie Helen, and Franklin’s School District Superintendent Lucas Giguere. They’ll be updating us on what’s going on in our town and in our schools. Take advantage of this great opportunity to get answers firsthand … bring your questions!

We’re meeting a week earlier than usual to accommodate our speakers. This is one of our favorite events of the year … join us to learn new things, meet new friends and have fun in our community.

We meet at Escape Into Fiction from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The bookstore is in downtown Franklin, 12 Main Street. Arrive early to take advantage of their wonderful selection of books, puzzles, games and gifts for all ages. Light refreshments will be served.

Come join your Franklin friends and neighbors at the Franklin Newcomers and Friends Club annual Holiday Yankee Swap.

Not just for Newcomers . . .

Join us Wednesday, December 13th, 7:00 PM at Franklin’s local bookstore, Escape Into Fiction, 12 Main Street, Downtown Franklin. The night will include our Holiday themed trivia contest and our Yankee Swap. Bring a wrapped gift ($20 limit) and get one in return. Prizes are awarded to trivia winners and we’ll be serving refreshments from Birchwood, a lovely cafe/bakeshop located in Franklin. Come early and check out the bookstore to get a jump on Holiday shopping. There is always a wonderful selection for all ages.

Reminder: Franklin Newcomers and Friends Club - Meeting on May 3 - topic 'online safety'

Come join your Franklin friends and neighbors at the Franklin Newcomers and Friends Club May Meeting.

We typically meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month … we made a date change for this presentation. Join us on Wednesday, May 3rd at 7:00 PM. Robin Putnam, Events & Outreach Manager from the MA Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation, will present on online safety. The presentation will include information about her Office and what they do. It will also cover how to be safe online, whether it be on your smart device, social media or online banking, phishing emails and general protection from scams and identity theft.

Join us at Escape Into Fiction Book Store, 12 Main Street, Downtown Franklin. The presentation will start at 7 PM but feel free to come early to socialize, get some refreshments and shop.

We are a multi-generational, member-driven organization and are always excited to welcome new faces and new ideas. Residents of Franklin, or any surrounding town that doesn't have a Newcomers Club, are welcome to join us. Our monthly meetings run September through May.

Reminder: The Newcomers & Friends April Meeting features updates from Jamie Hellen & Lucas Giguere

Come join your Franklin friends and neighbors at the Franklin Newcomers and Friends Club April Meeting.

To accommodate one of our favorite speakers, we made a date change. Join us on Wednesday, April 5th at 7:00 PM to hear updates from our Town Administrator, Jamie Hellen. We're hoping to also have our School Superintendent, Lucas Giguere, but are awaiting confirmation from him. Don’t miss this opportunity; bring your questions!

Join us at Escape Into Fiction Book Store, 12 Main Street, Franklin at 7:00. Light refreshments will be served. Come early and browse/shop the store or grab a bite beforehand nearby. No need to be a newcomer to the area, come make connections in your community.
