Part 3 of 3: the G8 Team

"We are incredibly proud to see our team reach the 8th grade Super Bowl this season. The core of this team has been together for many years, and this is their best season in their history.

We have an incredibly strong roster, with depth at every position. We have two very talented quarterbacks, a deep stable of dangerous running backs, and a powerful offensive line that makes the entire offense click.

It is said that defense wins championships, and ours has been one of the best defenses in the entire league, allowing only three touchdowns all season enroute to a 7–1 regular season record.

But beyond football, our ambition is to develop good football players, but even better young men and women.  This is an incredibly high character group of athletes, and they live up to our team motto of “Iron Sharpens Iron”… A proverb that teaches us that we make each other better every day.

We also rally behind the mantra of Everything is Earned, meaning nothing is given to us in life, but we must work and earn it.  It has been an honor to coach these outstanding athletes in their final year of youth football."

Head Coach

Part 2 of 3: the G6 Team

"Our season began all the way back on July 28th, and this group of kids has worked incredibly hard to get to this point. They’ve learned what it truly means to be a team — to play unselfish football, to care for one another, and to never give up no matter the challenge.

This season has been full of adversity both on and off the field. Competing in Division 1 means we’re often up against bigger, faster, and stronger opponents. We may not have won every individual battle, but when we don't every single boy has gotten back up, fought harder the next play, and supported his teammates every step of the way.

Off the field, the team has shown remarkable resilience and unity through some difficult personal losses including the passing of a teammate’s mother and a classmate who courageously battled cancer. To honor his memory and raise awareness for pediatric cancer, our players proudly wear yellow socks every game.

Many of these boys have been playing together since 2nd grade, and now as 6th graders, they’ve continued to improve every single season. Last year, we earned a spot in the Division 1 playoffs, which elevated us into the top division this year. In the past, we struggled against the tougher programs, but this year marked a turning point — the boys broke through and beat several teams for the first time ever, earning the #1 seed heading into the playoffs.

This Sunday, November 16, 2025 we’ll face North Attleboro in the Division 1 Super Bowl at 12:30 PM at Dedham High School. Admission is $10 (cash or Venmo), and kids 11 and under, as well as seniors and veterans, are free.

Here is a link to a few photos that capture the team’s spirit and journey this season — please feel free to use any of them for your story.

Thank you again for shining a light on these young athletes and the incredible heart they’ve shown this season. It’s been an honor to coach them and to watch them grow not just as players, but as teammates and friends.

Warm regards,
Jeff Davidson
