We're Here to Help: Supporting Students with Learning Difficulties - Webinar, Weds, Nov 19

Free resources for caregivers and educators supporting foster youth!
Most students in TriTogether have an IEP (Individualized Education Plan)—a powerful tool that helps each individual learn and grow in the way that works best for them. At TriTogether, we believe education should be for everyone, and IEPs help make that vision a reality.

If you care for—or work with—a student in foster or kinship care who has an IEP or learning disability, and you're unsure how to best support them, we're here to help!

We've invited Elizabeth McWhorter, CEO and co-founder of ThriveIEP, to share practical strategies and insights on supporting students with learning challenges. Join us next Wednesday, November 19, at 7:30PM EST on Zoom, where Elizabeth will offer expert advice and answer your questions live.

This free virtual talk is open to everyone—even those outside of TriTogether! If you know someone who would benefit, please invite them to register separately and join us.

Being part of a foster, kinship, or adoptive family is no small task. At TriTogether, we see the difference that extra support can have. Here are a few amazing organizations ready to step in to provide that support:

Foster Care Essentials is a Massachusetts-born-and-based nonprofit providing free essentials to foster or kinship care families—including clothing, toys, diapers, school supplies, and personal hygiene products.

Second Nurture partners with community-based organizations to create consistent support systems for foster and adoptive families. They host monthly group meetings with free on-site childcare and provide additional resources and services to help families succeed. Check out their website or contact their Boston cohort representative, Molly at molly@2nurture.org.

If you know a child with a birthday coming up, The Gifted Crate provides custom birthday boxes to Massachusetts youth involved with the Department of Children and Families (including those living in biological, kin, foster or congregate care).

We're celebrating an incredible year of growth! Check out our recent Instagram post highlighting how much our student referrals have increased over the past year—thanks to you.
