Boys Soccer = Mansfield, 1 @ Franklin, 2 – Final
– A pair of first half goals held up for Franklin, who knocked off Mansfield in its final league game and secured the Kelley-Rex division title for the fourth straight season. The Panthers jumped ahead in the 7th minute off a long throw in. Senior Josh Rappa sent a throw into the area that was headed out, but only as far as senior Andre Missagia, who chested it down and hit a half volley on the bounce that found the bottom corner. Franklin doubled its lead just before the half hour mark with a nice gpa; in the run of play. Senior Jason Proenca made a strong run through the midfield and then hit a perfectly weighted through ball behind the defense for junior Matt McNeil, who alertly hit a one-time cross with the keeper coming off the line. That cross found junior Jax Poverman and he got just enough on his first touch to double the lead. Mansfield pulled one back early in the second half as Brandon Gardner rose up and met a corner from junior Michael Nosovitzski, nodding a header back to the top corner at the near post.

Girls Soccer = Franklin, 4 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final
– Franklin’s strong run continued with a dominant win over Mansfield in the final game of the league campaign. The Panthers scored at least four goals for the fourth straight game and extended its win streak to five, clinching the Kelley-Rex title by a point over KP. Lily Strong scored twice in the first half and Gwen Holland got a pair after the break for the Panthers. Morgan Lovell added a pair of assists and Phoebe Cuneo set up a goal as well. Aly Fernandes had the lone goal for the Hornets, who clinched the outright Davenport title based on Canton’s earlier result. Sophia Foley got the assist and goalie Katelyn Troilo made a series of saves that kept the result from getting even further away for the Hornets.
Volleyball = Attleboro, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – Final
When Franklin traveled to Attleboro earlier this season, the Panthers had a chance to win the first set but the Bombardiers went on a big run that they carried to a sweep. Franklin knew it would have another shot at its league title rival and, exactly a month later, it made that second opportunity count.Behind its tenacious block, Franklin dominated Friday night’s rematch, winning 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-20) and moving into a tie with Attleboro for first place in the Kelley-Rex division with two league matches remaining for both teams.“We felt like we let good opportunities get away from us at Attleboro,” said first-year Franklin coach Chris Ridolfi. “Not that we thought we should win but we had some opportunities down there that got away and they’ve been working towards correcting that stuff. We’re trying to play our best volleyball at the end of the year.”Attleboro went in front 5-4 after a point by Olivia Leonardo (14 kills) but that would be the only lead that the Bombardiers would have in the first or second sets. Franklin took control in the middle of the first, going on a 10-1 run to open up a 20-9 advantage.
