Against a talented Lawrence squad, #15 Franklin created enough offense and came up with key plays at key moments to secure a 5-2 win in a Division 1 Round of 32 matchup on Sunday evening.
Despite just five hits, Franklin manufactured five runs through a combination of walks (four), aggressive base running, and selfless plays at the dish. On the mound, senior Austin Campbell battled his way through six innings and delivered in the biggest moments of the game.
“Anybody that makes it to this point in the season is a good baseball team,” said Franklin head coach Zach Brown. “This Lawrence team, they have a lot of pride and they’re well prepared. All the reports we got from teams that had played them were extremely complimentary of their lineup, how dangerous they were, and how aggressive they were. And it all played out there [tonight].”

Incredible season comes to an end as Panthers lose to Belmont 4-1.
Panthers battled in each match but only saw Gabby Cura come away with a win.
Although getting knocked out of the playoffs, FHS had its best season ever going 17-3 and winning the Hock for first time...so proud!!! https://x.com/fhs_gvtennis/status/1797380968161915039
