Franklin, 49 @ King Philip, 72 – Final
– KP scored 27 points in the first quarter and 23 more in the fourth to run away with a first league win of the season. After struggling to find its offense in the first couple games, the Warriors caught fire early against the Panthers. Erin Berthiaume scored 10 of her 12 points, Tatum Morgan added eight points, and Cheyenne Murray chipped in with five to power the Warriors to a 27-10 lead after one. So far this season, Franklin has looked much better after halftime and that trend continued on Monday, as the Panthers won the third 20-11 to cut the deficit down to 10. Senior Liz Dumais sank a pair of threes and scored 14 of her career-high 19 points in the third to give Franklin a spark. KP answered right back in the fourth, as Morgan scored 10 more (to finish with a season-high 26 points on five three-pointers) and Jessi Persky scored six. The Warriors outscored Franklin 23-10 in the fourth to put the game away. Stierer added 11 points and Persky finished with 10 for KP. Tessah Rodrigues added 10 points and Ava Bonney and Sophia Sacramone each had eight for the Panthers.
