Santa on the Common is Dec 1, 2024  

Santa and Mrs. Clause will be delivered via the Franklin Fire Dept. Jingles the Elf and DJ Mike will entertain while you wait.  

We have also added Venmo for donations this year!  

Don’t forget to bring your letters to Santa with your address so you can get return letter.

Concerts on the Common are back, and we're ending the summer with a bang! Bring your family, friends, and neighbors to the Franklin Town Common this Friday, September 6, 2024, for an afternoon and evening full of fun, music, food, and entertainment! 

Franklin Farmers Market: 2-6pm – Support local vendors and grab some fresh goodies!

Concerts on the Common

Live Music:

3-5pm: Alex Cohen (sponsored by the Mass Cultural Council and Franklin Cultural Council) 

5:15-7:15pm: The Reminisants

Movie Night: 7:30pm – Enjoy the heartwarming movie Inside Out under the stars.

Food Truck: Travelin’ Pizza will be serving up delicious eats to satisfy your cravings!

And don’t miss the FHS Mental Health and Well Being Task Force offering popcorn during the movie!

Mark your calendars, grab your blankets, and get ready for an evening of community fun and relaxation. See you there!

Farmers Market & Concerts on the Common

Join us on Friday, August 2 on the Town Common for a fun filled day starting at 2:00pm with the Franklin Farmers Market (2:00-6:00pm).  

Followed by an acoustic performance by David Rak from 3:00-5:00pm.  

From 6:00-8:00pm, Electric Youth and the Boston Show Band will be entertaining on the main stage.  

Cousins Maine Lobster will be serving lobster rolls, chowder and bisque from 12:00-8:00pm.  

We'll cap it off with a movie night showing Wonka from 8:00-10:00pm on our 25' inflatable movie screen.  Popcorn will be provided during the movie night by the Franklin High School Theater Club boosters.

The weather on Friday did change the plans for Concerts on the Common. They posted an update to Facebook at 1 PM that apparently didn't get caught by some folks (yup, we didn't see it until later).

"CONCERTS ON THE COMMON UPDATE:

Due to this evenings weather we will be canceling the Reminicents concert and Back to the Future Movie. We will hold a makeup day on September 6th

Mike Tarrara will still play tonight from 3-5PM"

So friendly reminder: for day of updates, check for the host organization first. Given the Facebook algorithm, there is no guarantee I'll get it in time.
