Before the iconic 1989 film broke box office records nationwide, Louisiana salon owner Truvy first set up shop on the stage. The colorful cast of regulars and employees that frequent her establishment include a mother-daughter duo planning a wedding, a woman who’s “been in a bad mood for 40 years,” and a mysterious newcomer. Through laughter, tears, and a thick fog of hairspray, these women face trials and triumphs armed with their greatest strength: each other.

Content Advisory: Steel Magnolias deals with themes of death, grief, and loss and contains some mature humor and themes.

Blues legend James Montgomery returns to THE BLACK BOX - January 10, 2026 with The Daybreakers!

Blues legend James Montgomery returns to THE BLACK BOX - January 10, 2026 with The Daybreakers!
Blues legend James Montgomery returns
to THE BLACK BOX - January 10, 2026
with The Daybreakers!

About James Montgomery Band — When blues legend James Montgomery plays the harmonica, he “brings it on home.” Whether it’s recording with Kid Rock, sitting in with Gregg Allman, or fronting his hot band of thirty years, Montgomery plays with authority. While growing up in Detroit he, learned first-hand from the masters – James Cotton, John Lee Hooker, and Jr. Wells – at the legendary “Chessmate.” Over the years, he’s carried on in the tradition and continues to be a vital presence in Blues as one of the most dynamic performers on the scene. In 1970, while at Boston University, James Montgomery formed the James Montgomery Band. His electrifying stage presence and unique harmonica style quickly made the band a staple of the New England music scene, earning them a multi-album deal with Capricorn Records alongside acts like J. Geils and Aerosmith.

About The Daybreakers — Blending folk-rock melodies with blues guitar muscle and rock and roll grit, the Daybreakers have earned their stripes over four years of consistent gigging throughout New England. The band has played many of Boston and Cambridge’s most revered rooms, sharing the stage with some of the region’s best roots rockers, such as Entrain and the Silks. The band has also performed as an opener at Indian Ranch in Webster, MA for three years running, opening for Three Dog Night, The Beach Boys, and Bret Michaels.

The Zajac Brothers Band scheduled for performance Nov 29 at THE BLACK BOX

The Zajac Brothers Band: A Trip to the 60’s & 70’s! Brothers Matt and Tyler Zajac have always been influenced from classic rock music.

The Zajac Brothers Band scheduled for performance Nov 29 at THE BLACK BOX
The Zajac Brothers Band scheduled for
performance Nov 29 at THE BLACK BOX
Early memories of their father quizzing them on which “Beatle” was singing, quickly became the foundation for a passionate and rewarding musical future. Fast forward to the Zajac’s college years and you will find that Matt has graduated Boston’s Berklee College of Music while Tyler has attended Los Angeles’ Musician’s Institute. Drawing influence from bands of the 60’s and 70’s, the brothers decided that in honor of the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, a festival that kickstarted a counter cultural movement towards peace and love, it was time to bring back those values and songs.

Joined by some of the finest musicians in the area- the 5 piece band will play a full night of Classic Rock songs! Expect hits and deep cuts from The Beatles, The Stones, The Grateful Dead, The Doors, CSNY, The Allman Brothers, The Band, CCR and more!
