Total Votes cast in person from 8/22 through 8/28: 443 (this total is also included in total ballots received)

The State Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Early voting for the State Primary begins Saturday, August 22 at the Franklin Town Clerk's Office
Registered voters can vote early in person at the Town Clerk's Office in the Franklin Municipal Building, 355 East Central Street, during the following dates and times:
  • Saturday, Aug. 22: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Sunday, Aug. 23: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Monday, Aug. 24: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 25: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 26: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, Aug. 27: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Friday, Aug. 28: 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.


Important Deadlines
  • Saturday, Aug. 22: Last day to register to vote.

Ballot testing to check that the tabulators read properly for the State Primary will be conducted on Wednesday, August 19th at 9:00 AM in the Council Chambers.

The State Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Registered voters can vote early in person at the Town Clerk's Office in the Franklin Municipal Building, 355 East Central Street, during the following dates and times:

"My bill to proactively pay for early voting costs, rather than making towns and cities pay from their own budgets and then get reimbursed, has been reported favorably by the Committee on Election Laws.

There’s no need to continually burden local budgets when we could issue funds in advance."
