Franklin TV: Trunk or Treat

The haunting results are in.

by Pete Fasciano, Executive Director 11/02/2025

Franklin TV: Trunk or Treat

some of the 40 pounds

Stalwart Steve Sherlock, Reporter-at-large was on the scene and reports that he had just about enough candy to cover the afternoon’s festivities. Same was true for us. With hundreds of zombies, ghoulies and ghosties haunting the high school parking lot, the Lions Club’s Trunk or Treat was a huge success.

Franklin.TV’s Taylor Tremblay and Steve as Franklin Matters joined many other haunted trunks. How much candy did they give out?

Almost forty pounds in all. (Wow!)

And – as always –

Thank you for watching.

Thank you for listening to wfpr●fm.

And staying informed at Franklin●news.

Franklin TV Trunk or Treat - Oct 25, 2024 (video)

You may recall On Friday, October 25, several members of the Franklin TV & Radio gang got together to transform the studio parking lot into a community friendly Trunk or Treat.

We previously shared a photo essay of the event. We can now share a video recap

Scenes from Franklin TV & Radio inaugural Trunk or Treat (photo essay)

On Friday, October 25, several members of the Franklin TV & Radio gang got together to transform the studio parking lot into a community friendly Trunk or Treat.

members of the Franklin TV & Radio gang

One inquiring reporter greeted folks as they arrived with a couple of key questions:

"Was there any truth to the rumor that kids liked candy?"

The answer to this one was a responding Yes.

the inquiring radio gang reporter

The second question was

"Is there any truth to the rumor that free candy is available here?"

The answer to that one was that they hoped so. Fortunately, they did confirm as they left, that it was indeed true.

oh, yes, the referee was getting ready for the double bubble boil and trouble scene

the spooktacular trunk or treat parking lot

There was no truth to the rumor of strange folks inhabiting the studio. The strange folks were outside in the parking lot hosting the event

Alas, as business slowed down as darkness settled in, we did close at 7ish rather than stay until 8 PM. We'll plan for different hours next year

One friendly youth leaving was reported to have said, the candy was good, the costumes were better.

Thank you, we'll take that into account for next year!

The TV & Radio gang does a whole lot more than this. You can watch, or listen, or read our output in multiple media formats.

How can you be sure of getting all the news?
