The Response for Franklin's PorchFest continues to grow

Franklin's PorchFest Committee is pleased to share that the number of participants and hosts has exceeded our expectations and the numbers continue to grow.  We are up to 40 bands and over 26 porch locations, including many throughout the Dean College campus.

No band?  

No porch?  

NO PROBLEM!!!  

Get in on the fun by signing up on our website to volunteer.  There are numerous ways you can help.  

1 - Anyone interested can go to our website and select the tab for Volunteer Signup and fill out the form.  Go to  Franklin.PorchFest.Info.

2 - Another way to help out is by supporting our local merchants as you enjoy Franklin PorchFest on June 1, 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  Between band performances, you can shop our independent Franklin businesses.  

3 - Enjoy a lunch from one of Franklin's food venues, and have a picnic while enjoying some great music.

The Response for Franklin's PorchFest continues to grow

Sign up to perform with the Franklin Public Schools Music Department at PorchFest - June 1

You have heard that Franklin Porchfest 2024 will be held on June 1 (rain date June 2). You can sign up to join the "Community Side by Side Performance" with the Franklin Public Schools Music Department for this event.

Whether you  have not performed since High School or you are a professional musician, come perform side by side with our talented FHS Symphony Orchestra, Band, and Chorus in a performance of "God Bless America" at the Franklin Porchfest on June 1! 

Rehearsals will take place at FHS:

• Wednesday, May 15 - 6-7 PM Room 131 @ FHS
• Wednesday, May 29 - 6-7 PM Room 131 @ FHS

Performance

• Saturday, June 1 (rain date Sunday, June 2) at the Franklin Town Common 3:15 PM (Time subject to change)

Franklin PorchFest extends registrations to April 30. More than 24 bands registered so far!

Franklin PorchFest … the momentum is building and we are thrilled with the initial response! We are up to 24 bands and counting. Local businesses are getting in on the excitement; for example, Intermission will be open during the entire event for anyone looking for a bite to eat between performances. Other eateries are hosting musicians and extending service to outside areas. There has also been tremendous interest in hosting musicians.

To accommodate so many requests, we are extending our registration through April 30th for both porch hosts and performers. If you are interested in participating you still have time to sign up.

Porchfest Franklin website goes live, sign up to host or play

Porchfest is coming to Franklin, MA!! It is an outdoor music event that will be held on Saturday, June 1st from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a rain date of June 2nd.

Come spend the day in Franklin’s beautiful Cultural District while listening to live music. Musicians and bands of all genres will be performing on porches and patios throughout the district. This walkable event is also the perfect opportunity to check out our local shops and restaurants. Public bathrooms will be available.
