FHS girls basketball community night scheduled for Dec 16

Next Tuesday, December 16th, the FHS Girls basketball team will host COMMUNITY NIGHT & Donations for The Santa Foundation. 

Join us at the FHS Gym as we celebrate all levels of the Franklin Basketball Community and support the Santa Foundation. We will be collecting NEW BASKETBALL donations size 5, 6 or 7 for The Santa Foundation!

Wear your FHS colors and cheer on the JV girls in their game vs Oliver Ames at 5pm followed by Varsity at 6:30. 

The concession stand will be open and we will have limited FHS basketball swag for sale! Hope to see you all there!

RAYDIO Announces Annual Holiday Toy Drive At The Doubletree In Milford

Community invited to help “Stuff the Bus” for local families in need this holiday season

Local internet radio station Raydio is once again bringing the community together for a great cause with Raydio’s Holiday Toy Drive, happening Black Friday weekend, November 28th through November 30th, outside the DoubleTree by Hilton in Milford.

RAYDIO Announces Annual Holiday Toy Drive At The Doubletree In Milford

The event kicks off at 10 AM on Friday, November 28th, and runs through 5 PM on Sunday, November 30th, as Raydio teams up with the community to stuff a big Vendetti School Bus full of toys for The Santa Foundation, Santa’s Porch, Toys for Kids & Teens, and the Milford Youth Center. Donations of new, unwrapped toys are encouraged to help brighten the holidays for local families in need.

In addition to toy donations, Raydio is also seeking “Shopping Spree Sponsors.”

With a $100 cash donation, Raydio will do the shopping on your behalf — making it easy for individuals and businesses to give back even if they can’t make it in person.

“This event really captures what Raydio is all about,” said Ray Auger, owner and operator of Raydio. “It’s our way of giving back to the community that supports us all year long. Every toy, every donation — it all helps make the season a little brighter for local kids.”

In the morning we will have a clinic to help you learn all about disc golf and how to throw discs!

We will have raffles for you to enter. One ticket will be included in registration with the opportunity to purchase more.

Disc Golf for a Cause? Yes, Please!

 

As the lead organizer of our upcoming Disc Golf Fundraiser for the Santa Foundation, I figured it was probably important to know how to actually play… LOL.

 

So today, I joined the amazing Chantal Gibson and her awesome crew—who are running our clinic and tournament—for a little hands-on experience.

 

And guess what?

 

I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could actually do it… and it was really FUN! Being out on the course was so peaceful—it was something I didn’t expect, but definitely appreciated.

 

I’m beyond excited to bring this energy to Franklin’s Dacey Field on June 29th!

 

This is a partner-style tournament, so grab a friend (or we’ll pair you up), and come out for a no-pressure, good-vibes kind of day—all for a GREAT cause.
