"Little Women" set performances at THE BLACK BOX on June 6 to June 8

For the final production of our 2024-25 season, FPAC is excited to present the musical adaptation of Little Women June 6-8 at THE BLACK BOX! 

 

Based on Louisa May Alcott’s life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested – her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she has to do better and write more from herself. Begrudgingly taking this advice, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America.

2025 THE LOWELL FOLK FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES FIRST GROUP OF PERFORMERS!

Cajun Legend BeauSoleil, Irish Favorites Solas, Blues Rockers Lil’ Ed & the Blues Imperials, and Bhangra Sensation Red Baraat among the artists set to play this free multi-stage festival July 25-27.

The 2025 Lowell Folk Festival has announced the first group of artists scheduled to perform at one of America’s most popular free summer events. With folk music traditions that span the globe, world-class musicians will bring the world to Downtown Lowell July 25-27 on stages throughout the Mill City.

Vocal Ensemble has graciously been asked to perform in the chorus of “Mary Anning: Fossil Hunter” a Chamber Opera by Jon Ceander Mitchell, in accordance with Claflin Hill Apple Tree Arts’ Chamber Music Series.

Tickets are $22.

This performance will be conducted by Luis Viquez. Other featured artists include Aurora Martin, Emily Bieber-Harris, Elizabeth Ayres-Kerr, Timothy Ayres-Kerr, Mark Schiappucci, and Frank Walker.
