Reporting by walking around - part 2 (photo essay)

Sunday afternoon, I took a good walk in the warm sunshine. Here are some photos captured along the walk.

Reporting by walking around (photo essay)

On Saturday, I took a good walk around town and took photos of what I found. I'll added a couple that I had not shared from a prior weekend walk.

some info on the nesting swans
How long do swans sit on their eggs? After the nest has been built, which typically takes 2-3 weeks, the egg laying process begins with an egg being laid every 12-24 hours. Once all the eggs have been laid, which can take 2-3 weeks, they will all be incubated (ie sat on to start the growth process) at the same time with hatching usually 42 days (6 weeks) later.

Saturday's Walk about Franklin (photo essay)

The 5th Grade Spring Cleanup was in full swing at Parmenter School. I made a loop around town coming back to Parmenter to check on the baseball field at the end of the walk.

Walking around Franklin (photo essay)

As the snow recedes, the sidewalks are visible and useable. Signs of spring were noticed on Sunday afternoon's walk but still hidden in the light snow on Saturday morning's walk.

Franklin in the snow

Safe walking around town has been challenged by the lack of passable sidewalks. Photo ops have also been limited as once you seen the white snow, what else is there?

Ah, there is more if you look closely.

Join me on the adventures around town. Since I am catching up to this, not all the photos are from the same walk.

Franklin in Snow

Even I'll admit that the snow is getting tiresome. It is pretty and we have been very fortunate not to lose power through all these storms (and I hope this doesn't jinx us). But it is also disrupting life. I stuck to mostly the sideroads as the side walks are buried while making my morning exercise walk around Franklin on Monday.

Be careful driving on side streets and expecially coming out from the side streets on to the main roads. What you used to be able to see may not allow you that view today
