Wishing all you Grandparents a very happy Grandparent's Day on September 13th!
Eighteen countries, in addition to the United States, celebrate some form of Grandparents Day as of 2020. In 1969, a young boy wanted the nation to share his love and appreciation for his grandparents. Nine-year-old Russell Capper decided to take his dream straight to the top and wrote to the president at the time, Richard Nixon. He asked if there could be a special day just for the celebration of grandparents and for that day to be recognized as a national holiday.
