Sullivan scored 11 of his 21 points (tying a career-high) in the second while senior Justice Samuels and sophomore Danny Santos each had five points as Franklin’s lead ballooned to 33-12 by halftime. The Panthers’ defense continued to slow Sharon, holding the Eagles to single digits again in the third to carry a 51-19 lead into the final eight minutes. Girls basketball = Sharon, 44 @ Franklin, 53 – Final
– Franklin celebrated senior night with a win over Sharon that clinched the outright Kelley-Rex division title. Freshman Lila McCarty scored six of Sharon’s 11 in the quarter. The lead bloomed to double digits in the second, as Franklin outscored the Eagles 17-9. – Thomas Quinn (assist) and Drake McAlpine (three assists) each scored twice, as Franklin picked up its second win in less than 24 hours. It was a physical game to start with more hits in the first period than shots on goal. With 3:18 left in the first, Rocco Lampasona’s shot from the right-wing circle was tipped in by Quinn to put the Panthers in front. Franklin broke the game wide open in the second, scoring on five of its 12 shots. Just 34 seconds into the period, McAlpine made a perfect pass across the crease to Quinn or a tap in. It was Quinn’s fifth goal in the last two games. Less than two minutes later, Nathan Dennett slipped a pass through a defenseman’s skates into the path of Collin Canavan, who buried the breakaway chance. McAlpine would get his first when he cut across the zone from the left-wing boards and lifted a backhand from the slot. He would then get another assist with an angled pass across the zone to Lampasona, who fired his shot just under the bar. On a two-on-one, Canavan saucered a pass over to Dennett, who went bar-down for a 6-0 lead. In the third, McAlpine added his second, Dylan Parmenter capped senior night by scoring his first varsity goal, and Ayden Doyle tacked on a ninth for the Panthers (their 14th goal in the past two days). Thomas Rovani made 24 saves to earn the shutout.

FHS boys hockey tops Bishop Feehan on Wednesday

Via Instagram, Franklin TV, and our subscription to HockomockSports.com, we share the results of the Winter sports competition for Franklin High School on Wednesday, February 11, 2026

Girls Basketball = Franklin, 29 @ Wachusett, 74 – Final

Boys Hockey = Franklin, 5 vs. Bishop Feehan, 2
– Franklin secured a massive win in its quest to earn a playoff berth, beating a Feehan team that went into the game nine places above the Panthers in the Div. 1 rankings. Thomas Quinn had a hat trick and an assist to power the Franklin offense. Rocco Lampasona also found the back of the net and dished out a pair of assists, while Drake McAlpine had a goal and an assist. Drew Stolller also had a helper in the win.

Girls Hockey = Canton, 5 @ Franklin, 1 – Final
– Franklin took a shock lead early in the second period but Canton answered with five straight goals to secure the league win and a sweep of the season series. The Bulldogs dominated the opening period but couldn’t find a way past Franklin junior goalie Abby Trevino, who made 17 saves in the first to keep the game scoreless. Franklin had only one shot from outside the blue line in the first, but a minute into the second it was the Panthers who found the back of the net first. Freshman Cade Taccini slipped a pass across the crease and Chiara Pecci was able to slide it under the pads for Franklin’s 10th goal of the season. The lead only lasted 38 seconds before Canton tied it. Grace Donahue’s shot from the point went through a crowd of bodies and was knocked down in the crease. Abby Stock pounced on the loose puck and knocked it in. Midway through the second, Canton took the lead. Freshman Stella DiLorenzo collected a loose puck on the right side and snapped off a shot that beat Trevino from a tight angle. Trevino made a nice save to deny Rori Sasin, but the sophomore forward stuck with the rebound and flicked it into the net for a 3-1 lead. With 1:04 left in the period, Shannon Lane made a nifty pass to Sasin in the slot and Sasin smashed a one-timer into the top corner. Both teams hit the post in the third and Canton added a fifth with 5:25 to play. Cassidy Lyons carried the puck behind the net and slid a pass in front for DiLorenzo to add her second. Trevino finished with 40 saves for the Panthers.

FHS boys basketball tops Milford on Tuesday (video)

Via Instagram, Franklin TV, and our subscription to HockomockSports.com, we share the results of the Winter sports competition for Franklin High School on Tuesday, February 10, 2026

Milford, 57 @ Franklin, 64 – Final –
The game recap By Ryan Lanigan || Hockomock Sports .com Editor
"The Panthers are one step closer to the state tournament.

Franklin turned defensive pressure into offensive production, building enough of a lead in the second half to withstand a late comeback bid from Milford for a 64-57 win.

With the win, Franklin moves within one win of automatically qualifying for the postseason with four games left.

“Our defense creates our offense,” said first-year Franklin head coach Mike Masto. “We feel like we do a really good job on the defensive end of the floor. Credit to Milford, they run really good stuff but we lost a little bit of focus at times in the third and fourth quarters. But we locked back in and did what we had to do to come out with the win at home.”

Franklin sophomore Danny Santos hit a trio of threes and had 11 points in the second quarter as the Panthers were within striking distance, down 33-24, at half. But it was all Attleboro in the third as senior Ladainian Rodrigues sparked a 17-0 run that spanned the first seven minutes of the quarter, getting a steal for a three-point play to ignite the Bombardiers. Rodrigues scored 12 of his team-high 20 points in the third as Attleboro pushed the lead to 52-28 going into the final quarter. Rodrigues also had nine rebounds, classmate Connor Houle added 11 points and four assists, and junior Ben Lally splashed in a trio of threes for nine points. It was a shootout in the first half, with both team’s offenses clicking from the start. Tessah Rodrigues scored seven and Liz Dumais hit a pair of threes for the Panthers, who scored 20. Attleboro went one better in the opening eight minutes, as Jenna Callahan hit a pair of threes, Tia Williamson scored six points, and Lola Ronayne and Lily Didick were also on target from deep. Franklin grabbed the lead going into halftime with a 24-16 second quarter. Freshman Brielle Nicholls sparked the Panthers with all 11 of her points (including a pair from deep) coming in the second. Bonney hit a couple threes and scored seven points and Sophia Sacramone added five, while the Panthers held Attleboro to just six points. FHS boys hockey top Attleboro on Wednesday

Via Instagram, Franklin TV, and our subscription to HockomockSports.com, we share the results of the Winter sports competition for Franklin High School on Wednesday, February 4, 2026

Boys Hockey = Franklin, 5 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final
– Franklin scored four goals in the final seven minutes of the game to pull away from Attleboro in a game that was much closer than the final score indicated. The Panthers jumped ahead midway through the opening period on a breakaway goal from Drake McAlpine. The game stayed that way through a scoreless second before Attleboro got on the board five minutes into the third to tie the game. Cam Elliott took a pass in the neutral zone and was able to fend off a pair of defensemen before picking the top corner to make it 1-1. Franklin regained the lead on the power play on a goal from James McLaughlin (from Colby Yagnesak) and then doubled its advantage just a minute later when Thomas Quinn lit the lamp, assisted by McAlpine and Drew Stoller. Attleboro went on the power play with two minutes to go and pulled the goalie to make it 6-on-4 and had a good chance in front, but the puck hopped over a Bombardier stick and the Panthers pounced and Quinn scored an empty net goal. Cooper Taccini latched onto an Attleboro turnover and scored Franklin’s fifth with 10 seconds to go. Freshman Gavin Wolfe made 21 saves in net for the Bombardiers.

Girls Hockey =Franklin, 0 @ King Philip, 7 – Final
– King Philip snapped its three-game winless streak and its two-game scoreless streak with a seven-goal outburst against Franklin. Annabelle Curran scored twice and Molly Morgan added two goals, while Stephanie LeBlanc, Emma Richard, and Grace McCreedy each found the back of the net once in the win. Ella Morgan handed out two assists, Rylan McKillop and Tayla McDuff each finished with two helpers, and LeBlanc added two assists of her own, with Grace Lehan-Allen, Molly Coen, and Sydney Gannon also recording assists. Goalies Kiki Lynch and Olivia Klein combined for the shutout.

FHS girls and boys basketball teams drop games to Taunton on Tuesday (video)

Via Instagram, Franklin TV, and our subscription to HockomockSports.com, we share the results of the Winter sports competition for Franklin High School on Tuesday, February 3, 2026

Franklin, 52 @ Taunton, 60 – Final
– Taunton junior Syre Duverna had a breakout performance to help the Tigers exact revenge from just over a month ago, splitting the season series with the Panthers. After falling to Franklin at the beginning of January, Taunton jumped out to a big lead at halftime at home and held on in the second half. Duverna shot 9-for-12 from the field and scored 14 of his career-high 22 points in the first half to help Taunton stake a 33-20 advantage at halftime. Duverna added 14 boards, half on the offensive end, three steals, and three blocks to help set the tone for the hosts. Senior Dray Thielker scored 14 of his 17 points in the second half to help close it out, and junior Brett McNamara added nine points for the Tigers. Senior Justice Samuels scored a team-high 15 points for Franklin while classmate James Crowley chipped in with 10 points.

Taunton, 58 @ Franklin, 50 – Final
– Taunton went on a run over the second and third quarters, opening up a 20-point lead, to snap Franklin’s 10-game win streak and tighten things at the top of the Kelley-Rex standings. The Panthers, who could’ve clinched at least a share of the league title with a win, jumped in front 12-7 after one. Taunton answered back in the second. Mallorie Peterson hit a three and scored five points and Sophia Forrester and Marybel DoRosario had four apiece, as the Tigers scored 18 in the quarter and went to the locker room up 25-21. The visitors maintained momentum into the third, as Forrester hit a pair of threes, Peterson hit another, and DoRosario scored six points. Franklin finally got its offense going in the fourth, scoring 21 points. Freshman Brielle Nicholls scored nine in the frame and Ava Bonney added five. Taunton never looked in danger of losing its lead, as Forrester scored seven (going 5-for-5 at the line) and DoRosario added four. Taunton’s sophomore forwards led the way, Forrester finishing with 20 points and DoRosario adding 16. Peterson scored eight and Mia Torres had six in a win that should give Taunton a big boost in the Div. 1 rankings. Nicholls was Franklin’s top scorer with 13, Tessah Rodrigues scored 11, and Bonney added seven. Franklin can still clinch at least a share of the title with a win at Attleboro on Friday and can win the title outright if it wins each of its last two league games.

FHS girls basketball & boys hockey teams post wins on Sunday

Via Instagram, Franklin TV, and our subscription to HockomockSports.com, we share the results of the Winter sports competition for Franklin High School on Sunday, February 1, 2026

Girls Basketball = Franklin, 51 @ Milford, 47 – Final
– For the third time in six days, Franklin pulled out a win after trailing in the fourth quarter. Freshman Brielle Nicholls scored 11 of her 14 points to help the Panthers overcome a dogged Milford effort, extend their win streak to 10 games and leave them a win away from clinching at least a share of the Kelley-Rex title. It was a great start for the visitors, who jumped out to a 17-10 lead after one. Sophia Sacramone hit a pair of Franklin’s four threes in the first and scored eight points. An 8-0 run to start the second, pushed the lead up to 15. Evelena Dobecki scored half of those eight to help the Panthers make a run. Milford turned things around with a 17-5 run to get back within three by halftime. Freshman Anela Lefter got four points and Kyla Nashawaty added four more. Sacramone nailed a three to make it 30-22 but Ava Baglione answered with a three and laid the ball off to Nashawaty for a layup to close the half. The third quarter was rough for both offenses. The teams combined for just 10 points. Ava Bonney’s three-point play on an offensive rebound gave Franklin a 36-31 lead going to the fourth. Milford rallied again, going on a 7-0 run to grab its first lead on a Baglione drive. Nicholls got open in the corner for a three and scored on an offensive board from Kaylee Fernandes. A Katelyn Kearnan steal led to a Baglione layup and Nashawaty scored in the paint after a Lefter steal to make it 43-41. Tessah Rodrigues drilled a three (her only points of the night) to put Franklin in front. With the Panthers up 47-44 in the final minute, Bonney ripped the ball loose and threw it ahead for Nicholls to lay it in and give the Panthers a two-possession lead. Sacramone finished with a team-high 15 points and Bonney added nine points and seven rebounds. Liz Dumais chipped in with 11 rebounds. Baglione led all scorers with 18 points, Nashawaty finished with 12 points, and Reagan Cunningham had five points and 11 rebounds.

Boys Hockey = Franklin, 4 vs. Braintree, 6 – Final
– Franklin senior Drake McAlpine put the Panthers ahead 4-3 just before the midway point of the third period but Braintree scored back-to-back power play goals and added an insurance tally to earn a 6-4 win. After McAlpine’s goal, the Wamps tied the game on the power play less than a minute later. Braintree regained its lead with 4:18 to go with another power play goal and scored one more just 45 seconds later to secure the win. McAlpine and Rocco Lampasona each had a goal and an assist, Cooper Taccini and Collin Canavan each scored once, Thomas Quinn registered two assists, and Quinn Taccini chipped in with one helper for the Panthers.

Girls Hockey = Franklin, 2 @ Stoughton/Sharon, 3 – Final (OT)
– Sophomore Kayla Monaghan tied the game with three minutes to go and then buried a rebound 37 seconds into overtime to deliver Stoughton/Sharon a comeback win over Franklin. The Panthers took the first lead of the game five minutes in on a snipe from senior Jenny McLaughlin but Stoughton eighth grader Sophie Kirkwood answered five minutes into the second period to make it 1-1. Just three minutes later, Franklin sophomore Reese Beaulieu lit the lamp to put the Panthers back ahead. Monaghan collected the puck in the neutral zone and carried it in before her shot deflected off the glove and in with 2:57 to go. In overtime, sophomore Raegan Costello set up senior Addison Strunk for a shot on goal that bounced around in front before Monaghan cleaned it up for the game-winner.

FHS girls & boys basketball teams top KP, boys swim finish 7th with 7 swimmers

Via Instagram, Franklin TV, and our subscription to HockomockSports.com, we share the results of the Winter sports competition for Franklin High School on Friday, January 30, 2026

Boys Basketball = Franklin, 58 @ King Philip, 34 – Final
– Franklin’s defense clamped down all game long, limiting King Philip to single digits in each of the first three quarters to roll to a big win on the road. The Panthers held the hosts to six in the first and then just seven more in the second, staking a 27-13 advantage at halftime. Franklin put the game away with a big third, outscoring the Warriors 18-8. Sophomore Danny Santos scored 13 of his team-high 18 points in the first half to help build the lead. In the third, Santos, Jack Sullivan, Kyle Batla, and Gio Carlucci (11 points) all connected from three-point range to help put the game away. Freshman Callum Carver led KP with nine points.

Girls Basketball = King Philip, 54 @ Franklin, 56 – Final

"Coming into the season, despite having won six of the last seven Kelley-Rex division titles (including last year’s), expectations were modest for a relatively inexperienced Franklin roster. After a daunting early part of the schedule, which included a 3-point loss to King Philip in Wrentham, the Panthers were just 1-6.

On Friday night, the Panthers welcomed KP for a rematch on Coaches vs. Cancer night. This is a very different Franklin team than the one the Warriors handled comfortably three days before Christmas and, after eight straight wins, the Panthers entered one game up on KP in the standings.

It was a wild finish, fitting of a showdown for the league title.

With 52 seconds to play, Ava Bonney (14 points, seven rebounds, and four steals) sank a pair of free throws to bring the Panthers within one. After a defensive stop, Sophia Sacramone (eight points and eight rebounds) went 1-of-2 at the line to tie it."

FHS girls basketball team tops Mansfield on Tuesday

Via Instagram, Franklin TV, and our subscription to HockomockSports.com, we share the results of the Winter sports competition for Franklin High School on Tuesday, January 27, 2026

Boys Basketball = Mansfield, 48 @ Franklin, 42 – Final
Franklin TV video for replay -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_j_4Db9LKg

Girls Basketball = Franklin, 45 @ Mansfield, 44 – Final
"After a rough start to the season that saw Franklin lose six of its first seven games, the Panthers went into Tuesday night’s visit to the Albertini Gym on a seven-game win streak and alone atop the Kelley-Rex division.

It was never going to be an easy game against their rivals and seemed likely to be a close one. Each of Mansfield previous five games had been decided by six points or less and Tuesday would be no different.

With less than three minutes to play, Kaylee Fernandes picked off a pass under the basket and scored to tie the game. Tessah Rodrigues forced a turnover on the next possession and Sophia Sacramone followed her own miss, used a nice pump fake to get free, and laid it in to put the Panthers in front 43-41 with 2:04 to play.

Mansfield got one back on a free throw from Katelyn Troilo. The score would stay the same for the next 80 seconds before freshman Brielle Nicholls went 1-of-2 at the line. Troilo managed to break the intense Franklin press and got the ball back for a decent look at a three. The shot was short but Sadie Jablonski snatched her 16th rebound of the night and put it in, plus a foul, to tie the game with 9.0 on the clock."
