Franklin Art Association schedules September meeting to feature artist Rose Wang
The Franklin Art Association warmly welcomes the public to its meeting at 6:30 pm at the Franklin Senior Center on Wednesday, September 2nd.  The program will feature Rose Wang, a classical oil painter based in Massachusetts, specializing in portraiture, still life and landscapes.  Rose enjoys sharing her passion for painting through demonstrations and community art events.  She is inspired by the beauty of everyday life - people, flowers, landscapes and quiet moments that often go unnoticed.  The evening’s program will feature Rose sharing her portrait painting techniques by painting a model from the audience.

All programs are free and open to the public.  Coffee and snacks will be served at the intermission, where you will have a chance to meet and speak with the artist.

The Art Association is supported by grants from the Franklin Cultural Council, which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and the Franklin Cultural District.

Franklin TV: Then There’s This …

A Martian Orange Sky

by Pete Fasciano, Executive Director 07/19/2026

This past week Canada’s forest fires delivered this apocalyptic Martian sky that peaked in its orange intensity in early afternoon. As warmer dryer times promote the potential for more fires, will this dusty rusty haze become our new normal?

And on 495 at 9:00PM – noctilucent light scatter from well below the horizon.

Nothing rhymes with orange – or looks like it.

And – as always –
Thank you for watching.
