Santa on the Common - now a drive by event - Nov 29

Due to the pandemic we are changing the format of Santa on the Common. A Drive By is planned where you can see Santa in your car. You must follow these simple rules:

1. Santa will be on the corner of Main and High St. 
2. You family must enter by Union St. and exit Main St.
3. You and your family must wear masks
4. Before you see Santa give your Christmas list to the person before Santa
5. When you are in front of Santa you can wave and greet him and he will give you a souvenir of the event
6. After you have greeted Santa you will be given a gift certificate for a treat 
7. We hope you join us, for Santa wants to be able to see  you before his magical flight

Franklin Police "Fill a Cruiser" toy drive a success

"To say that today’s Fill a Cruiser Toy Drive was successful would be an MASSIVE understatement. We stopped counting after filling 8 cruisers.

To the people who saw our posts online and showed up with presents and to those who donated after shopping at Marshall’s, we can’t thank you enough! We definitely exceeded all expectations today. Our classroom is going to be out of commission for awhile!"

Reminder: Christmas on the Common - Dec 1

On December 1, Concerts on the Common will have Santa arriving on the Franklin Fire Truck and the lighting of the trees. 

Time is 4:00 PM. 

Santa will be welcomed by Mike the DJ who will entertain the children with games and music. 

Santa will give gifts to the children. Goodies and milk will be available.

Thanks to the Franklin High School hockey team who will have decorated the Common on November 30th with wreathes made by Hillside Nurseries

Santa will visit the Franklin Starbucks - Dec 10

The Franklin Starbucks is a busy holiday place on Tuesday, Dec 10 from 4 to 7:00 PM. 

• Craft a holiday card for veterans from 4 to 5
• Santa will read a story at 5 PM
• Live music will be provided by "Midnight Zephyr" 
• Community cookie swap
• Hot chocolate and goodies

Sensory Friendly Santa Claus - Dec 8

Visiting Santa Claus can be a very overwhelming experience for children, particularly those with Special Needs. 

This year, Franklin SEPAC is inviting families to visit Santa in a sensory friendly environment...no long lines or waiting, no crowds or noisy store and a Santa who understands!! 

Bring your camera to take as many pictures as you would like. Our SEPAC elves will be on hand to take family photos as well.

Pancake Breakfast with Santa - Cub Scout Pack 126 - Dec 1

Cub Scout Pack 126 will hold its annual All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 8–11 AM at the Franklin Elks, 1077 Pond Street, Franklin, Mass. 

For just $7 per person, enjoy pancakes, eggs, sausage, orange juice, coffee and tea. Kids under 3 eat for free!

Reminder: Christmas on the Common - Nov 25 - 4:00 PM

With Halloween behind us, Christmas rapidly approaching, the tree lights will be turned on at the Town Common on Sunday, November 25 at 4:00 PM.

Santa Claus will be delivered via the Franklin Fire Dept. There will be music and refreshments and "Jingles, the Elf".

You can get Santa twice this weekend. Saturday in Bellingham and Sunday in Franklin.  From the Milford Daily News, articles of interest for Franklin:

"Santa Claus will take a quick jaunt through Bellingham Saturday evening before being delivered to the town common for a lighting ceremony involving hot cocoa, holiday songs and seasonal cheer. 

Santa’s journey will start at 5:25 p.m. at the Bellingham Middle School, and he will be escorted along South Main Street to the common. Local residents are invited to join the escort or view the procession along the route while students hand out candy canes. 

Santa’s quick trip to the common is organized by the Bellingham Lions Club. 

The lighting itself - which begins at 6 p.m. - is a tradition that dates back to the establishment of the town common 20 years ago. Town Common Trustee Chairwoman Joanne Arcand said the ceremony had grown a lot over the years."

Breakfast with Santa - Dec 13

Join the Hockomock Area YMCA for a fun and festive holiday event, ‘Breakfast with Santa’ on December 13, 2014. Breakfast seatings are set for 9:00am and 10:00am at the North Attleboro Branch (300 Elmwood Street) and Bernon Family Branch (45 Forge Hill Road, Franklin); and 8:30am, 9:30am and 10:30am at the Invensys Foxboro Branch (67 Mechanic Street). Hockomock YMCA

Family and friends are welcome to join us for a delicious pancake breakfast and a chance to meet Santa Claus! Y members and the entire community are invited to attend this event at $5 for members and $8 for non-members, children under 1 free. Registration is required for anyone eating breakfast.

Santa will visit each breakfast and share a story with the children. Children will also enjoy making holiday crafts and having their picture taken with Santa Claus. Do not forget to bring your camera!
