Here are a few additional items and actions for your attention:

 

The March to End Fossil Fuels is in New York on Sunday, September 17th, 2023!  It's not too late to sign up for the March, although the pace of ticket sales is picking up; if you want to go on the 350 Mass bus, please reserve your seat ASAP.  See info and links here.  

A note on accessibility: The march route is 1.3 miles long, paved and mostly flat, in a dense city environment with a fair amount of shade. Drinking water refill stations will be provided, and porta-potties will be set up at the start of the march and at the closing rally, including ADA units & hand washing stations. The rally will have ASL interpretation and space reserved near the stage to see the interpreter. The rally will also have a shaded seating area for those who need it. Everyone is welcome to join any part of the event as they are able, whether that's a part of the march, or the closing rally at 49th St and 1st Ave.

 

 

Evaluating Climate Solutions: A National Forum Series. Are the various proposed climate solutions effective, scalable, affordable, technically possible, and politically feasible? • Use this toolkit and call on your legislators to attend the June 6 hearing! If you like, you can register to join others during an Action Hour on Zoom to reach out to your legislators, Thu, Jun 1, 11:30am-12:30 pm.

·        MBTA petition: Organized by Transit Matters.  Petition: MBTA's FY 2024-2028 Capital Investment Plan (CIP) fails to make meaningful progress on key projects like  Regional Rail, Red-Blue Connector, and bus electrification. Tell the T to go back to the drawing board and deliver a better CIP.  Petition here. 

·        Campaign: Hold Big Banks Accountable. Organized by Union of Concerned Scientists.  Letter to state treasurer to hold big banks accountable. Sign here. 

·        Campaign: Protect the Fair Share Amendment!  Last November, Massachusetts voters passed the Fair Share Amendment for a fairer tax system that will raise more than a billion dollars for transportation and education.  Sign the letter from Mass Fair Share to state senators.
