In the News: senior living facility investigated, distinguished young women

"A senior-living facility on King Street is under investigation and has had a certification suspended by the state Executive Office of Elder Affairs (EOEA). 
The facility, the Estate at Franklin, is still operational, but had its Assisted Living Certification status suspended by the state office on Feb. 5. 
According to the facility’s website, it serves assisted living and memory care patients. 
According to EOEA officials, the suspension is currently in effect, which prohibits the facility from admitting any new residents."

"The Greater Franklin Distinguished Young Women Class of 2017 will present its performance showcase at 6 p.m. May 21 at Dean College Auditorium, 99 Main St. 
Dean College awards a full one-year scholarship to the program. Tickets cost $18 for adults and $12 for students, children and senior citizens.
