Dear Friends,

Spring is in the air and Beacon Hill is heating up as the Massachusetts Senate addresses a number of serious issues from the opioid epidemic, FY17 budget preparation, transportation funding, marijuana laws, and many others.

From now until July 31st the legislature will be busy debating pertinent legislation that will have a significant impact on your community and communities across the Commonwealth.

Read my newsletter to stay up to date and if you have any questions or would like to set up a time to meet, email me at Richard.Ross@masenate.gov.

Sincerely,

SMALL BIZ SPOTLIGHT: SUGAR SHOPPE, FRANKLIN
Sugar Shoppe in Franklin has only been open for a few months, but in a short amount of time it is already a local hit. The owners, Corey and Courtney Nappa, have put a unique twist on the traditional candy shop. While they stock all of your favorite confectionaries, like penny candies, fudge, jelly beans, and truffles, they also give all net proceeds to a charity they started, Make Change for Change.
