Why have multiple calendars?
There is a Cultural events calendar upon which other community events are layered to create the Community calendar.

Respectfully, the Library and Senior Center calendars are too full of events to include all their events so we tend to focus on the major events. Town and School meetings are also kept separate. Links for all the calendars are shared here:

The Cultural calendar displays only the cultural events      https://www.franklinculture.org/things-do/pages/calendar

Find the full Community event calendar  https://www.franklinmatters.org/p/blog-page.html

If you have an event to add to the calendar, you can use the form to submit it for publication:  https://forms.gle/oPdi8X3ZbHHyrHzo6

The Library calendar of events ->    calendar link

The Franklin Art Association Art Gallery remains open for viewing (and purchasing the art displayed) during business hours at Escape into Fiction (Main St, Franklin)

Newcomers & Friends: Bringing Earth Day Home - Apr 20

We are pleased to announce that Lisa Mosczynski and Susan Speers, volunteers with Metacomet Land Trust, will be joining us with a program on “Bringing Earth Day Home.”  The program will introduce the conservation group, with a focus on its work to preserve open space in Franklin since 1988. Metacomet is a member-supported nonprofit which serves 15 towns and is based in Franklin.

To mark the 52nd anniversary of Earth Day on April 22nd, Mosczynski and Speers will share a slide presentation on the group’s conservation work, education programs, and behind the scenes assistance to landowners and towns wishing to permanently preserve natural habitat. Metacomet’s local efforts include helping Franklin to connect town open space and Metacomet’s land. Metacomet is a 501-(c)-3 charity. More information can be found at www.MetacometLandTrust.org.

Status update for 3

To Our Guests,

We are happy to report some good news from 3!  But first, I want to thank you all for the outpouring of support you have shown us over the past week.  We are truly grateful for such kind, thoughtful and loyal guests!

Fortunately, the COVID protocols we have in place at the restaurant were effective in preventing any spread of the virus inside the restaurant!  The restaurant has been thoroughly deep cleaned and while the restaurant and staff are ready to reopen, we  have decided to remain closed for a few extra days.  We expect to reopen after Easter, on Monday April 5.

This week our staff will receive a few bonus days off to relax and recharge while we tackle some building improvements such as the installation of new HVAC systems,  the installation of new kitchen equipment and the implementation of a new computer system.  Plus, our chefs will be putting the finishing touches on a delicious new spring menu and the bar team has created some amazing seasonal cocktails.

We hope to have all of these projects completed by next week in anticipation of welcoming you back into the restaurant for what we expect will be a bustling spring and summer season.
Thank you again and we wish you and your family a happy and healthy Easter week.

Cheers!

Stephen Corcoran
Owner
