Not just any "Thank you" card

You call for service, someone comes out.

The job is done, they go away.

And sometimes something special happens.

At least one Franklin plumber sends a "Thank you" card. Yes, you got that right. He sends one to us to thank us for calling him and providing the opportunity.

thank you for making the time!

Thank you for reading, commenting, and sharing. It is because you show interest that I continue to do what I do here. We are about to enter our 8th year together. Yes, 8. Where has time gone?

Since we just turned back the clocks to get in extra hour of sleep, it is also timely to look back at the beginning of November for the first 7 years. Many of you joined us along the way and we thank you for that.

If you like what we do here, please tell your friends and neighbors.
If you don't like what you see, please let me know.

It is through this kind of feedback loop that we can continue to provide the most timely and best information about Franklin that we can.

I'll take this opportunity to invite you to join us. As you should be aware, I can not do it all. With a full time job and family commitments, never mind my volunteer time with the Franklin Food Pantry, there are not enough hours in the day to get to all the meetings that could be covered.

My thanks to regular contributor, Renata Gilrova, for helping to coordinate the weekly events calendar.

If you have interest in the planning process. You could cover the one of more of the Planning Board, Conservation Commission and or the Zoning Board of Appeals meetings.

If you have interests in the schools, you could cover the School Committee meetings.

If you would like to cover the youth and school sports, there is an opportunity.

If you have an idea for something not mentioned, please feel free to reach out and we can discuss it.

Note: the best way to get all of Franklin Matters is to subscribe via email. You'll receive one email each day with all that is published since the prior day's email. Those with more of a technical or geeky bent can do so via RSS feed in which case you'll get everything as it is posted when it is posted.

If you do only subscribe via Facebook, note that you will not see everything do the ever changing Facebook algorithm that filters what you see.

So how do you subscribe via email?
Visit this page to subscribe ->  http://www.franklinmatters.org/p/welcome.html
It is a two step process. You enter your email address. You;ll receive an email and need to confirm the receipt. From that point on, you can receive the daily email. If you miss one, check your spam folder.

How do you subscribe via RSS?
You need an RSS Reader. I use Feedly. It is a free service and can be found here ->  http://feedly.com/

For those who use Facebook, there is an RSS Feed to Facebook that you can find on the Franklin Matters page that will give you everything. You will meed to visit the page to find this but it is better than letting Facebook filter the items to you.

Tastebuds Fresh Marketplace says: "Thanks to All"

Hi Steve,
Thanks for all of your support for Tastebuds Fresh Marketplace Grand Opening last Saturday. It was a complete success.
If you could mention in your blog, Donna and I would like to thank the people of Franklin who have graciously welcomed us to the community and participated beyond our expectation during our grand opening celebration. We look forward to being of service for many years to come.
Dave and Donna Lanni
