"Parents might be happy to learn that Franklin has been named one of the top 30 safest cities in the country to raise a child in 2017.
According to SafeWise.com Franklin comes in at number 12 on the list, namely because of its quality schooling and for winning the 7th Annual AP Honor Roll Award for superior high schools.
Town Administrator Jeff Nutting said he is proud to learn of the recognition and “happy to accept the results.”
Nutting, an eight-year Franklin resident, said the list is long as to why he likes living in town."
"As a child, it was a family tradition for Michelle Beaupre to attend the town’s annual Fourth of July celebration.
“I grew up in Norfolk and it’s something that we often went to. It’s something I’ve gone to since I was a kid,” Beaupre said.
The parade and fireworks were always a highlight, the Franklin resident said."
