3. Discussion / Action Items

a. Policy – Second Reading
I recommend adoption of the following policies as discussed.
Policy CBD – Superintendent’s Contract
Policy ADF – Wellness Policy

motion to accept, seconded, passed 7-0

b. Proposal for FHS Seniors late arrival or early release during study hall pilot
I recommend temporary suspension of policy JH – Student Absences for the purpose of piloting late arrival/early release for FHS Seniors during quarter 4 as discussed.

proposal for this class to pilot, would effect 2 of the 7 day rotating schedule, so something less than 200 kids at any time, more likely closer to the 200/7

would allow for some late sleep, some early dismissal, some traffic alleviation, and a perk for those who can benefit. Could only happen in 4th quarter due to the time required by state for learning in specific topics

motion to accept, seconded, passed 7-0

c. School Start Times Advisory Committee Appointment
I recommend approval of the remaining School Start Times Advisory Committee appointment as discussed.

motion to accept, seconded, passed 7-0
(note this is currently the only publicly available name of any of the members of this committee)

d. DECA Trip
I recommend approval of the request of FHS to take DECA Students to Atlanta, GA from April 21 through April 25, 2018 for International DECA Competition as detailed.

motion to accept, seconded, passed 7-0
