i. In the spirit of open communication, “the School Committee will hear public comment not related to an agenda item at the beginning of each regular School Committee Meeting. The Committee will listen to, but not respond to any comment made. A Committee member may add an agenda item to a future meeting as a result of a citizen comment” – from Policy BEDH
c. FHS Student Representative Comments
end of winter sports, first in 11 divisions/meets, 5 hock champ, 3 sectional, 1 state champ (Cheerleaders)
banquet season, senior coming up Thursday at Lake Pearl
Mar 14 - many participated in the walkout, over 1000 who did participate
Senior Projects starting
Best Buddies prom last Friday at Franklin Elks
color run for Mr K, May 19th


d. Superintendent’s Report
1 - Concession Stand proposal update
they have secured $112K in labor, more in materials, leaving about $30K to raise
they have a plan to close the gap, there is a follow up meeting next week to develop the project plan for demo and construction
adjacent school principals being added to planning group

2 - Commend Food Service Program in work preparing for the recent audit
program commended for eligibilty
meals meet the guidelines, good communications and a fantastic catering program
minimal findings already resolved in an action plan

3 - Jefferson received a 2018 Bridge build grant
to fund a community service project, paint and painting supplies for hallway murals student lead work on the proposal

4 - Family Science Night was a total blast
many families in attendence

5 - kindergarten welcoming events held
