An update from Franklin Recreation:
"Franklin's own Olympic hero, Kristi Kirshe, will be returning from Paris to Franklin, MA on Monday, August 19.
We invite you to join us for a welcome home celebration on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Franklin Town Common, located at 200 Main Street.
The evening will feature a police escort by the Franklin Police, followed by a brief ceremony where Kristi will be honored with citations from State Representative Jeffrey Roy and the Franklin Town Council.
Residents will have the opportunity to hear Kristi share her inspiring journey from Franklin Youth Sports through Franklin High School, Williams College, and her achievements with the United States Women’s Rugby Team during a question and answer session hosted by Myfm 101.3 Ray Auger.
- Franklin TV will broadcast the whole ceremony on their YouTube channel
- A photo session will follow immediately after the event
