Support for Ukraine - Sunday, June 12 - 5 PM

"This Sunday evening at 5 PM there will be a Prayer Vigil/Service on the Town Common for the people of Ukraine

The Franklin Interfaith Council along with invited guests will be participating in the service. Please plan to come and stand with and for the Ukraine people, pray for them, and also the end of the horrible violence. You will notice that it is early evening so people may find it more convenient to attend.

If it rains, we will use Saint Mary Church for the Service.

Everyone is welcome. You may wish to bring a “beach chair” to sit on. "

Franklin Cultural District - #Arts happening Here (through June 8)

June 1, and the Rogers and Hammerstein lyrics from Carousel appear in the grey matter:
"You can see it in the trees
You can smell it in the breeze

Look around! Look around! Look around!

June is bustin' out all over"

This week may seem like a slow "busting out all over" but wait until you see next week! Arts are happening here!

Town of Franklin Memorial Day ceremony - 05/30/22 (audio)

FM #809 = This is the Franklin Matters radio show, number 809 in the series.

This session of the radio show shares the audio of the Town of Franklin Memorial Day ceremony held on the Town Common at the end of the parade on Monday, May 30, 2022. The day was gloriously sunny and the crowd was mostly finding shade and in good voice when required.

Veterans Service Officer Shannon Nisbett is the master of ceremonies.

The meeting runs just over an 1 hour.

Celebrate with Pride - June 26, 2022

"One seed to start a garden, one note to start a melody, one brick to start breaking down walls: Every movement and moment of change starts with purpose, with intention, with one. With me. With you" - "I Am One" by Susan Verde & Peter Reynolds

"In a world where it is so easy to look out at what's wrong, I am thrilled to be one member of a team looking within to find what we can do right. I have had the privilege to take a professional pause during these complex times, spend time with my family and translate my experience into continued community action.

I am one. One person inviting you to help change the world in a small, but very real, very impactful way.

If you are in the metro Franklin, MA area, please consider joining our LGBTQIA+ friends and allies on Sunday, June 26th, 12 PM - 4 PM on the Franklin Town Common to *Celebrate with Pride*

If you cannot attend, but would like to support this event, please consider making a donation. Every dollar is valued and appreciated."

"Hearts Of Kindness" return to the Town Common

The "Hearts of Kindness" have returned to the Town Common. On my walk
Monday morning, I had seen the cloths lines strung between some of the trees. The radar picked up that the hearts were going to be hung Monday afternoon.

I captured several photos during my walk on Tuesday. One shown here, the link to the album provided below.

masked or not,

life on the edge

or not, let’s find

within ourselves

hearts of kindness
