Poll question results

  1. Wouldn't it have been a better survey to have a survey with the following questions:
    I voted Yes for the override and would vote yes for a separate school override.
    I voted Yes for the override and would vote no for a separate school override (unlikely but included for completeness)
    I voted No for the override and would vote yes for a separate school override.
    I voted No for the override and would vote no for a separate school override.
    I did not vote and would vote yes for a separate school override.
    I did not vote and would vote no for a separate school override.
    I will not vote.

    Technically there are a few other options (I did/did not vote for the override and will not vote)

    That way you can determine statistically what percentage of the no votes would have turned to yes. Right now, you could guess that the numbers you received apply to the whole Franklin voting population, however I would have to think that your site probably has a bias towards one side or the other and so would not be accurate without the additional information.

    Wonder if something like this could be put on the town website?

    Yes, it likely could have been done more thoroughly as you indicated.
