Cassell's Corner features FHS Girls Lacrosse Coach Kristin Igoe (audio); FHS girls advance to D1 Finals

"This week, Cassell’s Corner host Tommy Cassell talks with Franklin girls lacrosse coach Kristin Igoe and Natick girls lacrosse coach Tanner Guarino. 
Igoe’s Franklin girls are competing tonight, June 7, at home against King Philip in the Division 1 East semifinals. The game is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. 
“Their goal and my goal is to win a state championship,” Igoe told Cassell. 
Igoe won two state championships in lacrosse at Framingham High School. The Framingham Flyers won in 2006 and 2007. Both Igoe and Guarino were on the 2007 team, and Guarino won her second state championship in 2010."

Girls Lacrosse = D1 East

#12 King Philip, 7 @ #1 Franklin, 15 – Final 
– Franklin built an 8-3 lead at halftime and never looked back in the D1 East Semifinal matchup with KP. Freshman Erin Walsh led the way with seven goals, Annie Walsh (eight draws) added four goals and Kendall Reardon found the back of net twice. Halle Atkinson and Grace McDermott each had three draw wins for Franklin. The Panthers advance to their third Div. 1 East Final in the past four years and will face #2 Concord-Carlisle on Friday at 7:00 at Milford High.
