We’re rollin’ again. Bigtime!

Saturday 7/8, at 0-dark-thirty (much too early) on the way to recording another tournament (number 18) for New England Candlepins. We are back!
The bowlers are back too. We had a record 128 bowlers register to compete in our tournament. That adds more prize money to the tournament kitty. The grand prize winner gets almost $2,000.00 (and yess - those all-important bragging rights).
The qualifying tally for the top 16 who made it to TV was also an all-time high. Contestants had to roll a hot 3-string total of 410; a big number built from lots of marks with good fills. Today they were all bringin’ their ‘A’ games.

We had several new faces appear this reason after our three-year Covid hiatus.
We load our gear into Ryan’s Family Amusements in Millis at 8 AM, and with some luck and hustle we have it all set up so we can begin recording our 8-show tournament around 10 AM. We’re still rolling as I type, and we’ll wrap it all up at around 6-7 PM. A long-ish day, but always big fun.

Naturally, it’s great to have the gang back. Rich Myrick and Dave Chestercove bring the games to life – serious bowlers talkin’ serious bowling – all while talkin’ lighthearted smack about Jay Horrigan. Listening to any of our shows, you know their all having a blast kickin’ back and enjoying the best the game has to offer.
