Do you have MassHealth coverage ??

Massachusetts has launched a statewide public awareness campaign to help MassHealth members prepare for new federal Medicaid requirements that could affect health care coverage for hundreds of thousands of residents.

Do you have MassHealth coverage ??
Beginning in the coming months, some MassHealth members will face additional paperwork, more frequent eligibility renewals, and new work or education reporting requirements. Some members may need to renew their coverage every six months instead of annually.

For individuals living with brain injury, changes involving additional paperwork and deadlines can be especially challenging. Difficulties with memory, organization, attention, and executive functioning can make navigating complex benefit requirements harder.

Importantly, some MassHealth members may qualify for exemptions from the new work and education requirements, including people living with a disability, pregnant women, parents of children age 13 or younger, and individuals with certain health conditions.

Not sure if the new work and education requirements apply to you?

The Commonwealth has created an online tool to help MassHealth members find out: https://ow.ly/xoic50ZyUaL

MassHealth members are also encouraged to:

• Make sure your mailing address, email, and phone number are up to date.
• Open and review all mail from MassHealth — especially the blue renewal envelope.
• Pay attention to emails, text messages, and automated calls from MassHealth.
• Respond promptly when information or documentation is requested.
• Seek assistance if you need help understanding or completing the requirements.

Staying informed and responding to MassHealth communications will be important to help prevent an unnecessary loss of health care coverage.
