The Franklin July 4th Coalition needs your help. This is our third year as a community volunteer group. We have the sole mission of preserving our 33rd year of the July 4th celebration.
We rely upon fundraising events and donations to help provide fireworks, the parade and children events during our 5 day town celebration. This year we need YOUR direct help. A small tax deductible donation will help us reach our fund raising goal and thereby allow us to keep the celebration an exciting town wide event.
Thanks you for your support!

On June 8, 2014, the Parish of Saint Mary in Franklin is privileged to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of ordination to the priesthood of two members of the Parish clergy. Pastor Brian T. Manning and Parochial Vicar John L. Sullivan will be jointly celebrating this significant event.
A Mass of Thanksgiving will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Church. Concelebrating the Mass will be Reverend Manning, principal celebrant, Reverend Sullivan, homilist, and Reverend Anthony V. Le, as well as numerous priests from throughout the Archdiocese of Boston and other friends of the celebrants.
The liturgy will include music directed Mr. Terrance Kerr, Parish Music Director, with participation by the St. Mary Adult choir and the Children’s choir. A String Quartet and Trumpet will accompany the choirs. Music literature will include the Adult Choir singing “Laudate Dominum” by Mozart, and the Children’s Choir singing “Shall We Gather at the River” by Robert Lowry.
Following the Mass of Thanksgiving, there will be a reception on the parish grounds. Parishioners, as well as the families and friends of the celebrants, will be in attendance.

FRANKLIN - ALL are welcome to the Easter Festival Worship service at Franklin Federated Church Sunday, April 20, at 10 AM.
The festivities will begin in front of the church, when all are invited to take part in decorating a large wooden cross with flowers. The cross will then be carried into church for the start of worship. The service will include the welcoming of new members, a children's message, and a sermon entitled "Do Not Be Afraid" by the Rev. Charley Eastman. At the end of worship, all in attendance will be invited to join with the choir to sing the Hallelujah Chorus.

There will be no Sunday School on Easter - children will stay with their families throughout worship. There are activity bags available for young children, and the nursery will be open (but not staffed) if any family would like to use the nursery while listening to worship.
The church is handicapped accessible via a ramp on the left side of the church. Large print bulletins and hearing assistance devices are available. For more information, visit www.franklinfederated.org or find us on Facebook. Or, if you have questions or wish to speak to the pastor, call the church office at 508-528-3803.

There is no question whether the town's Fourth of July celebration tradition will continue this year, said Michael A. Walker-Jones. "We're going to make it happen," said Walker-Jones, chairman of the Democratic Town Committee. He has been informally leading the Fourth of July Celebration Coalition steering committee with Michael Kelly. |
