Kids' Corner Franklin, a program of Franklin Public Schools Lifelong Learning Institute and Lifelong Community Learning, is a unique collection of after school activities for children with the goal of making learning fun.

Classes are small, relaxed and designed to encourage children's creativity - a place where fun and learning meet.

Lifelong Community Learning Announces Trip to Bretton Woods

Calling it a Great Holiday Gift for the Family, Lifelong Community Learning has announced a March 3rd ski trip to Bretton Woods, NH. Participants can enjoy a day on the slopes without thinking about the driving. 

Transportation will be provided by a chartered luxury motor coach departing Franklin High School parking lot at 5:30 AM and will depart Bretton Woods to return home at 4:30 PM. Individuals under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Reminder: Franklin Newcomers and Friends Club: Brenda Reed - Nov 8

The Franklin Newcomers and Friends Club will meet on Wednesday, November 8. We are pleased to host as our speaker, Brenda Reed, currently the Director for Lifelong Community Learning in Franklin. Reed is a former chief executive for the New England Press Association, a former public servant – both elected and appointed – a former founder and co-owner of a successful weekly newspaper, and a former Attleboro mayor and School Committee member.

In those positions Reed has been at the intersection of public policy and business management. She understands the crucial importance of good organization, setting priorities, feasible strategies, attention to detail, the need to collaborate successfully with staff team members, volunteers, and the public.

She will be speaking about the Lifelong Community Learning programs and the opportunities for partnership. Lifelong Community Learning is a program of the Franklin Public Schools Lifelong Learning Institute and is dedicated to providing quality learning experiences for residents in the Town of Franklin and surrounding communities.

We invite any resident of Franklin, or a surrounding town that doesn't have a Newcomers Club, to join us at "3" Restaurant, 461 West Central Street, Franklin. Complimentary appetizers and beverages are provided and a cash bar is available. We meet upstairs at 7:30 PM on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. We run our meetings September through May. Additionally, we hold many fun and varied events to stay connected throughout the year.

Lifelong Community Learning and local business partners, have announced One-night Events for November & December. Together they have created these fun & interactive workshops.

Baking Breads for Home & Giving with Chef Colin Boisvert - Tuesday, November 14 - 7:00 to 8:30 pm
Trying to get a handle on the holiday season? With these easy Sweet Holiday Breads and recipes, you’ll be more than ready for guests, not to mention last minute gifts. Seats are limited. Must be 18 to participate.

Making Yogurt & Cheese At Home – with Melanie Hamblen, Agway, Franklin Urban Farm Store - Thursday, November 16 - 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Yogurt-making and cheesemaking are DIY skills that are worth mastering. When you know how to make your own product, you don't have to pay a premium to enjoy fresh, preservative-free food. Attend this workshop and see how much fun this can be! Seats are limited. Must be 18 to participate.

Popping The Cork On Sparkling Wines - with Mark Lenzi, Franklin Liquors - Tuesday, November 21 - 7:00 - 8:30pm
Sparkling wines are used in celebrating many of life's best moments. At this education/tasting event we will explore all things bubbly. What are the methods in making these wines? What is true Champagne? What makes Prosecco different from Cava? To answer these questions we will explore sparkling from all parts of the world. Seats are limited. Must be 21 to participate.

Create A Holiday Terrarium & Taste Festive Wine – with Pour Richard’s Wine & Spirits AND Agway - Thursday, November 30 - 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Add a little holiday color to your indoor space with an eye-catching terrarium! Not only are they a great oxygen booster, terrariums are easy to create and can be made in a variety of sizes.….AND at the same time enjoy the sampling of festive wines that will add to your Holiday enjoyment! Seats are limited. Must be 21 to participate.
