All roads should lead to The Rome Restaurant in Franklin either before or after taking in one or more of the events at the Cultural Festival. 

"Festival Fettucini" is the Rome's standard Fettucini Alfredo with mushrooms added, quite a healthy portion and delicious!

The Rome will feature "Festival Fettucini" from 4:00 PM to closing each night Wednesday, July 26 through Saturday, July 29.  The culinary arts are one of the key arts that the Festival is looking to showcase. Franklin has a broad variety of culinary choices!

Let's Laugh Today, Laughter Yoga - July 28, 5:00 PM

Farmer's Market, musical performances, end of the week, what better to do than to set aside some time to relax and laugh. Let's Laugh Today, Laughter Yoga is scheduled for the 3rd Franklin Cultural Festival on Friday, July 28th from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. 

Remember to bring a lawn chair and water to drink. 

Let's Laugh Today, Laughter Yoga will resume their 'normal schedule' on the first Wednesday in September.

LET'S LAUGH TODAY in Franklin is on the second Wednesday this month - Wednesday, June 14


Bring more laughter into your life by attending Let’s Laugh Today on Wednesday, June 14th (second Wednesday this month) from 7:30pm to 8:30pm at the Meetinghouse of the First Universalist Society in Franklin, 262 Chestnut Street, Franklin. 

Laughter Yoga is a body/mind practice for well-being that involves deep breathing and a few stretches, playful laughter exercises (no jokes or comedy), clapping and deep relaxation. It has many benefits besides the joy of laughter. It can strengthen the immune system, combat the negative effects of stress, and is a powerful antidote to depression and anxiety. 

Any age and any level of physical ability can participate in this uplifting experience! They do not meet in Franklin in July and August, so be sure to get your laughs in this month!

This session will take place at Tranquil souls Studio. The practice of Hatha Yoga helps to increase strength, flexibility and posture, and decrease stresses of everyday life. Yoga, which has been around since the 15th century,

"The kids are moving in a fun way that connects with the story"

"As her mom says, Summer Robertson, an 18-month-old, can pull off the downward dog yoga pose. 
The position calls for two hands on the ground, with one's rear end up in the air almost like a push-up. 
"Summer's mastered the downward dog," her mother Leah Robertson, of Franklin, said Saturday morning. "I don't think she knows she has (though)." 
The mother-daughter pair still got to test and flex their muscles at the Franklin Public Library on Kenwood Circle as the children's department hosted its first-ever "Family Yoga Adventure" session."

Laughter Yoga is a fun and healthy combination of laughter exercises, yoga breathing and gentle stretching. It's a great stress buster with real health benefits. Join them for an hour of laughs, fun and finish with a restful cool down meditation.
